I’m glad that OP:
1) Figured this out.
2) Shared so others can learn from their mistake.
Look at this crazy vanity table designed by Gaudí (picture from Wikimedia Commons, by user amadalvarez)
I tried to come up with text to put here, but I can’t. Just look at it! Someone had that in her house

Yknow the lil fanfic trope where a character, usually non-human, purrs like a cat. In this case it would obviously be Rocky but what if it was Grace instead hear me out-

The (European) sun is a deadly laser, stay safe everyone
☝️🤓 it’s because the further you move toward the earth’s poles, the lower the angle of the sun is at the hottest parts of the day, meaning the radiation hits your whole body, causing it to feel 10-20 degrees warmer than the thermometer reading will tell you. People from tropical climes, aka close to the equator, are used to the sun’s radiation hitting a much smaller target- their head and shoulders.
Also the further you move toward the poles the more pronounced the difference between the length of day and night is. Worst part of a far-north (or south) heatwave is it doesn’t get dark long enough for meaningful cooling.
It’s not the heat. It very literally is the sun.
they really don't make Bigass Cabinet For Computer anymore. we were at the used furniture warehouse the other day & they had so many. that's the way things should be. lock away that wretched machine when you're done looking at it

WONDER WHY THOSE ALL DON’T LOOK LIKE THE SAME COLOR? BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT
OTHER THAN BEING PART OF THE SAME FAMILY OF BLUES, THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME FUCKING COLOR! WHY WOULD THEY ALL BE THE SAME FUCKING COLOR! DO YOU THINK WE JUST NAME NEW COLORS FOR KICKS!?!?!?
WHEN DESCRIBING A CHARACTER’S GOD FORSAKEN EYE COLOR, PICK ONE YA GODDAMN HIPPIE
As someone who is colourblind this post is fucking hilarious because they are in fact all the same fucking colour
things heating up in the fuckin uuhhhhhhhhh BLUE fandom
So uh….. fun fact about turquoise
They come in varying degrees of blue and green.
THIS IS TUMBLR
@hellsite-hall-of-fame
[Images 1 through 5: various shades. Sapphire is a dark blue. Teal is straight up green. Periwinkle is somewhere between blue and a light purple. Azure is also a blue and purple mix, leaning towards blue, and brighter. Turquoise is a blue-ish green, but it can be described as the other way around.
Images 6 and 7: various stones laid next to each other, in shades of blue and green.
Image 8: screenshot of the post showing all the images above are variations of the same gradient that this website displays when it has not yet loaded an image.
Image 9: that one guy from the movie Troy in the middle of yelling “This is Sparta!” /End description.]
oh no he's hot
Choose your fighter looking ahhh
As a Greek, in response to the current controversy about Matt Damon being cast as Odysseus, I'd just like to share that one of the moments that changed my brain chemistry as a kid was reading a novelized version of the Odyssey and coming across the following description of Odysseus when Circe sees him for the first time and thinks he's hot: "his hair curled like a clematis and his eyes were very brown".
So may I present my own casting choice for Odysseus:
Excuse me???
you are right and you should say it.
Is this the face of a man who would put his own infant in front of a plow to avoid going to war?
Absolutely not
You know who would try that shit?
Is this the face of a man who would defy the very gods to get home to his wife?
You know who would defy the gods just to show he could get away with it?
The last thing Penelope's suitors ever see:
The oldest paint shop still running in Barcelona (Catalonia): Pintures Jordi, since 1923.
They sell modern paint and don't lack in technology (like the credit card payment terminal or paint-mixing machines and catalogues), but at the same time their shelves are 110 years old and their cash register machine is 160 years old.
The shop only has one worker, its owner Joan Jordi Romeu, third generation running this shop since it was founded by his grandfather Joan Jordi Ferrer. The shop was founded in 1923 and bought by Joan Jordi Ferrer in 1928. Back then, his grandfather sold varnishes and paint, but also hand-made perfume and detergent, and some food items. With the passage of time, they specialized in making and selling paint, at first always hand-made, and later with machinery.
The shop is located in the city centre, in Antic Esquerra de l'Eixample neighbourhood. The survival of old family-owned businesses is particularly hard in areas like this. As a result of gentrification and touristic massification, most neighbours have felt forced to sell their independent businesses to multi-nationals.
