Another Pokémon oc I've had cooking up, which is basically my ZA player with extra steps. Meet Key!
Key lived in Kalos and ended up becoming the champion incredibly early in their Pokémon journey, which also included in dismantling team flare and saving Kalos. This, obviously, got a lot of eyes on them— so much so they had a bit of a mental breakdown and decided to move to Alola, alone, leaving their parents and home region for good.
In Alola, things were mostly chill, but due to their battle spirit and their general sense of justice, they end up being dragged into the Aether foundation's whole thing and stumbles into becoming a champion. Again. Mostly because people thought it'd be a loss to not use their talent in battling. They end up losing on purpose just so they didn't have to keep being champion.
This pushed them to move to Galar and the cycle began a new! They don't even hate battling, they love it actually, but the amount of attention they get is really frustrating... Oh well. Once the fame in Galar starts being too much they travel back to Kalos, 5 years later, hoping to have some much needed rest.
... And that's until a girl begs him to feature in one of her ads. Little did he know, he'd get into some bullshit once more. But hey! He gets to see an old friend, so at least that's nice. He really can't refuse when people needs him, huh?
Key is also someone who enjoys switching up their outfits, which helps them being unrecognisable when they REALLY want to lay low. They're very focused on strategy too, so their team often switches around— although Clash, Eyeris, and Silence tends to stay (emotional support starter you see)
Pokémon ocs that have been cooking for a hot second in here! Meet Sandré and his sibling Siv <3
Both Kalosians who went through the events of X and Y... Sandré was a member of team Flare, charmed by Lysandre's ideals and charisma, and Siv was an aspiring reporter who tried (and Failed) to infiltrate team flare and dismantle it from the inside... To save their brother. It's okay though. Sandré lived as he wasn't anywhere near the base when it got destroyed, and he's trying to rebuild a life, this time following Grisham in Nouveau café and finding a new passion for baking! Hooray!
Siv', after X and Y, continued their endeavours as reporter and build a ... reputation. Very agreeable and pleasant, but always manages to get what they're looking for... The one you need to get to the bottom of any mystery! Unlike Sandré, they've been traveling all across the region, and even outside, in order to make the truth come out... Whatever it takes.
Needless to say, going back to Lumiose after so long and seeing their brother has been a joy! For them. Only them. Sandré is not cheesed to being called "Gribouille" After all these years.
no dude it's so cool how attached you are to that character who is singled out and ostracized due to the external monstrousness that clashes with their internal spark of humanity. and i love how drawn you are to themes of horror and love, nature versus nurture, otherness, isolation, and the abject. i bet you have normal feelings about your own personhood
not every mutual fits neatly into an archetypal medievalism but there are some mutuals that im like yeah addressing you as “my liege” would come strangely naturally

I've been rotating a story in my head for a while abt a woman fighting an angel with her mech who was NOT made for fighting and it spiralled into me making her an entire team that tragically died and now I'm attached. Woops.
The whole thing is that these kids (minus Peri who's a mechanic) are pilots for the "coastal troupe", a group of 5 animal mechs made to honour God by dancing for him. They're made of a porcelain-like material and powered by pure angelic energy that was given to them eons ago. They're all dancers that work together to put on a show basically!
The first few drawings are from my experimentation phase so Azur's adult design is not like. Final final. The lineup is more recent. Mooore under the cut
ANYWAYS the story is kind of in "two part". The begining of the war following the coastal troupe and neighbouring nations as they try to navigate this threat, because there's two other mecha groups (An orchestra and a Chorus I'm still figuring out) in the other countries. The setting itself is modern-ish, but the coastal troupe specifically has remained pretty traditional in how it works (especially compared to the others). The tragedy lies in the troupe being forced to fight the angels and failing because... Well. They never were MEANT to fight, but their mechs is the only thing that can even think about rivaling the angels, as no other weapons was able to do anything.
This leads to the death of almost everyone in the troupe throughout the following 3 years. Though they have managed to take angel's weapons to study, and build an armour for the only mech still standing, being the lamb (Azur's mech).
This ends up with the second part of the story, focusing on an adult Azur taking up the mech again after years of refusing to pilot it for this reason. Azur ends up fighting the big ass angel I have yet to name, and the two actually becomes... Closer? In a weird way? The angel grows a fascination for Azur and the mech technology, and Azur starts to look forward to battling it, out of both a desire for revenge AND a weird sense of enjoyment. It gets a little homoerotic is the thing.
While I'm yelling into the void, I'd also like to take the word Hag and put it hiiiiigh up on the shelf until people stop using it for women that are barely over 30.
I know I Knoooooow this is a very tired point but also it still holds up so really it's not that tired. But.
Genuinely genuinely so tired of female character designs that do not even dare to deviate from the Typical Conventionally Attractive Female Figure, while male characters in the same media are allowed to be wackier / more monstrous. It pisses me OFFFFFF
MAKE FEMALE CHARACTERS WITH WEIRD CHARACTER DESIGNS OR DIE BY MY BLADE.
"I did it for you" has gotta be my favorite form of betrayal. You gave me a gift I never asked for, and now I have to look around at the world you destroyed with the knowledge that it was gift wrapped and addressed to me.
