[[ Tumblr keeps eating my asks, but I'm calling it now that Propeller is officially off Hiatus! That being said, have a starter call cause I'm needing to sift thru what I currently got lol. Capping at 3 right now, ofc castmates exempt as always! They'll most likely be mini event themed
I'd like to put Propeller Knight from Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove on hiatus please! I've just got a lot on my plate rn
Noted; a hiatus will be put in place!

“If that’s what you want to call it. Lively turn of events is just a polite way of saying we got used.“
She smiled with ironic delight as Propeller Knight scrutinized the contents of bottle. She didn’t blame him. Most of the things that could actually be in that bottle would tend to cause a minor case of death. But she felt grateful nonetheless as he showed enough trust to reveal his well traveled face and drink what could be poison despite all his prior experiences.
The shuffling of the crew sounded below as last of the lanterns were extinguished . They sat, a peaceful darkness enveloping them as the clean atmospheric breeze blew past. Though the peace was not likely to last for long, and she was not able to appreciate such a vantage point as she normally would have. The Flying Machine could bring them to the island as quickly as they wished, but they had a long day and it was time for rest. Propeller Knight motioned to return the bottle but Mona waved it away and summoned another for herself. He shrugged and continued to sip.
The ease with which they could travel begged an important question. Could they not just fly home? They had their powers back. Did they really need to be doing this? But deep down she already knew. He was already home on the Flying Machine. And there was no going back for her. For now at least. So she lowered her eyes to her tea and decided on saying the next closest thing to her heart.
“We should do this again sometime. When things aren’t so.. lively.”
“It is the closest to the adventure and thrill I have lived before coming here! A bit of danger puts a fire to your feet, does it not? Don’t tell me you do not enjoy a little bit of thrill, Madame Mona?” His teasing was delivered with a playful air before he turned his attention skyward towards where he assumed the floating island was past the cloud. “Well, I could do without the backstabbing, even if I could see it coming.”
Propeller took another swig of the drink as she spoke before quickly responding to her suggestion with a delighted hum.
"There wouldn't be a greater prize for surviving this then the honor of sharing another moment with you. I shall look forward to it!"

@aerialcorsaire || SECURITY BREACH P2 STARTERS (2/2)
“ YOU of ALL people. Have you nothing better to waste your time on? Leave this business to me and me alone! ” Whether or not the knight was here to aid, he’d have no such business in being near anyone affiliated with the order. Small hands grip tightly against his shovel blade, turning his attention briefly away from that oh-so-terrifying cluster of blorbs wiggling their way closer, mindful that out of most, Propeller Knight was hardly the worst choice for company out of the bundle. Even still, ever at guard, he stands at the ready, watchful, ready to strike without warning though always patient in waiting for a reason.
“ …I’ll not have you ruining this for me. Get lost! ”
Propeller cleared a spot for himself close to the smaller knight with a corkscrew kick. With his feet planted firmly on the ground and his rapier drawn, he turned his immediate attention to the swarm around them.
"Hoh, do not think so little of yourself to say my time would be wasted on aiding you my friend! I am not here to steal any glory from you, and as much fun as it is to watch your skill and valor from afar, the least I could do is help save some of your energy."
Was he laying it on a little bit thick? Debatable, but he wasn't about to antagonize Black Knight with a quip right now. Not when there wasn't any sign of this clearing up any time soon. Black Knight was a viable ally to have! He had all the qualities, like being available!

@aerialcorsaire liked for a starter!
Bard’s search for materials has led him to Golden Ward. Maybe he can just buy what he needs? Though he isn’t sure how many stores are open right now… He wanders the empty streets, littered with debris, and he hates how quiet it is.
…Wait, what’s that noise?
A large shadow moves from overhead and behind, and a loud thrumming is heard as well. Is that…? Bard turns around to find a giant airship making its way through Golden Ward, and a familiar figure leaning over the ledge looking at him.
“P– Propeller Knight?! When did you–?”
On better occasions, the Sky Captain wouldn’t fly his ship this low but this was far from a better occasion. If he had his old crew he would have manned the wheel himself with his first mate taking watch at the bow to signal for any obstacles that could threaten to tear into the ships hull, he didn't fully trust the reaction time of the undead currently under his employ for such a delicate task. At least it offered a chance for him to really survey the area. A bright spot of orange standing out among the rubble below caught his attention, and he quickly motioned for the ship to halt.
It was highly unlikely that Bard couldn't see the ship, but that didn't keep Propeller from waving down to catch the man's attention. "Ah my friend! We meet yet again!" Whether or not his initial call was heard over the sound was unimportant, for the moment he could see that familiar face plate Propeller was throwing himself overboard to meet up with Bard on the pavement below.
His boots made contact on the asphalt with a gust of wind from his helm as he touched down. Propeller gave a jovial laugh in response. "Hohoh! Wonderful, is it not?! Oh to be a Captain once again!"

The soles of his boots clicked against the wooden deck of the Flying Machine as he walked with a sure purpose. It felt like the closest thing to home as he could ever possibly get since arriving on this island and he practically ached to fall back into what little routine he had before losing it all once again. It was almost embarrassing at how giddy Propeller had gotten when setting his newfound crew to work below deck. Almost but not entirely. It was strange having his crew replaced with a bunch of undead skeletons, but they did their jobs and took orders rather well. Honestly the simple act of taking command once again made his heart swell with a pride that he hadn't realized he missed as much as he did.
Propeller let his hand glide along the railing some as he made a his rounds, watching for anything that didn't meet his standards of keeping the ship running. It was pretty easy to spot the lich on deck what with the bright crimson cloak standing out against the hues of yellow, gold and green. With everything seemingly running smoothly the sky captain made his way over to meet again with his compatriot.
"Your sentries learn fast my friend! I am quite pleased at how they are running every thing." His voice was pleasant as he spoke. Really his idea was working far better then he had originally expected.

Closed Starter for @aerialcorsaire
———————— A blackout had enveloped the city in uncharacteristic darkness as Mona returned to the decks of the Flying Machine piloted by Propeller Knight. The final wire had been cut. Somewhere far above, even beyond the limitations of the vessel, a floating island had appeared, eclipsing the stars themselves and obscuring the light that remained. In this dead of night she walked, illuminated only by the lanterns of the ship as the crew of skeletons gifted by Specter knight clattered about preparing to make way towards a new destination. A voice began to boom over the phone tucked up her sleeve, an event she had grown far too used to by this point. It told her she wasn’t dreaming, that GPU will destroy everything. She tuned this voice out. The skeleton crew parted before her at her approach as the voice continued to echo truths she understood from the beginning and chose to ignore. Somewhere below engines stirred, and the vessel began to lumber forward, once again called to defend the city. A call she would heed this time. She relished the wind in her hair and the feeling of freedom it instilled. Though, she had returned a failure. A failure covered in soot and dust of her own explosives turned against those she had briefly considered her neighbors and kin. She brushed off this dust as she walked. She was a failure to her deceitful masters who promised power and freedom, a failure to her new friend who welcomed her aboard as if she was not a monster, and mostly a failure to herself for sinking so low just to feel a bit of control. Her allegiance to the Null had been meaningless, as they now intended to destroy the entire city regardless of those that had chosen to help them. There was no promise fulfilled. Only destruction. And she fully intended to pay them back for using her as a pawn. Propeller knight stood straight, hands at ease upon the wheel, unbothered by the turmoil of the city below him. They briefly made eye contact at her arrival, and he nodded low towards her. His pleasantries never failed to bring the slightest blush to her face which she was thankful the night obscured. He seemed at home to be piloting his machine, a feeling she envied just a bit. She walked over and leaned on a nearby railing, unclasping her tattered cape and allowing it to billow to the floor. A nearby skeleton quickly grabbed it and took it away below deck. She summoned a potion to each hand. The first was a bright red health potion in a lavish crystal vial, which she downed immediately, shivering at the sickly sweetness and tossing the container over her shoulder towards the ground below. The other, a plain bottle filled with earthy liquid, she sipped gratefully. Tea, black, unsweetened. She extended the rest to Propeller Knight, insistent upon offering whatever she could for his hospitality. It had been a long week for both of them.
Propeller had heard the news from his own phone, tucked safely away in his jacket. Despite knowing this would be an inevitable outcome, it still put a bit of a sour taste in his mouth. Oh well, he got what he wanted from this one sided arrangement and he was going to milk it for all it was worth. With his guest safely onboard, he steered the Flying Machine towards a nearby cloud bank before setting it to idle slowly beneath in it's foggy cover with a practiced sequence of lever pulls. Best to avoid the open air while everyone is gathering their bearings and preparing for what is yet to come.
He turned his attention briefly towards his makeshift crew. They could never replace his own, but for what these gaggle of bones were, they did their jobs. "I want those lights snuffed! This cover means nothing if we shine like a beacon underneath it!"
Satisfied with the stir of movement at his orders, Propeller retired back from his position at the helm to where Mona had taken to. He smiled beneath his helm as he accepted the gift she offered before taking the spot next to her to overlook the darkened city below.
"Well, this has been a rather lively turn of events, has it not?"
The Sky Captain's voice held an air of humor to it as his swirled the contents of the bottle with a hidden scrutiny. If his time with Plague Knight taught him anything it would be not to immediately drink whatever an alchemist hands you. He'd swear that strange little man could drink straight poison and be better for it. But this wasn't Plague or any of his minions. Sweeping aside his brief air of caution, he pulled down the mask under his helm that covered his nose and mouth to take a swig. The taste of tea left him pleasantly surprised at least.
[[ Welp! Sorry for the delay, once again work has been vacuuming up any and all time and spoons I ever have at any given point :’) SO! This event am I right? ‘,:}c
Info
Propeller sided with the GPU for the first part of the event and in return has received full flight, his sword AND the whole ass Flying Machine (not including his crew or the rest of his fleet though, just his unmanned flagship essentially.) That’s right babyyyy we got ourselves a bonafide airship!
For part 1, he was very much distrustful of NULL but kept his mouth shut and essentially feigned doing the bare minimum amount of work in favor of partying it up on his ship that is currently being manned by some undead provided by Specter Knight and having some good ol tussles more for the fun of it then to actually protect the wires.
For part 2, wrow color him surprised over the whole NULL Turning On Everyone bit it’s almost like he could see that this was a poorly planned out revolution at best and something more sinister at worst. Prop’s got a big fuck all airship that could potentially reach that floating island and the Big Bad I’m bringing to the table is everyone’s favorite Tax Collector Treasure Knight!
I am currently taking 2 starters for Part 1 and 2 starters for Part 2! (Those that I’ve already plotted out stuff with in DMs don’t need to like this btw those are currently in the works) Just signify in the replies which one you’d prefer. As tradition, Castmates exempt!

While the old Medic didn’t quite recognize the knight, the sight of his helm brought to mind a sense of mild déjà vu. It felt familiar in the foggiest of ways, just enough so that he merely chalked his recollection of such strange headgear up to having seen too many helms in recent months. It felt as though everywhere he turned, there was yet another person wearing armor.
Any ideas he might have had about passing by without a word were dashed in the very instant the man spoke, curiosity winning out in the fight against his common sense. His brisk walk slows to a standstill, stopping just before the partially dismantled machine. A brief squint was followed by his own smile in return, toothy and disarming.
“What kind of tools are you in need of, Herr Ritter?“ At least he was wearing his uniform, the coat’s pockets offered Ludwig both somewhere to put his hands and an obvious space in which to look for said tools.
“I’m afraid I don’t really carry anything meant for vehicles, though I can offer ein knife if there are screws that need loosened.“ He hardly carried anything past medical supplies, honestly. His rummaging produces a sturdy looking blade with a thick handle, something he’d honestly forgotten he’d been carrying at all until the potential need arose. It was offered to the knight, handle first, eyes poised to steal an appraising glance at that curiously blue skintone. “Are you trying to get it started? Assuming it is yours, that is.“
"Wrenches would be best but a beggar should not be picky."
Propeller straightened his posture back to his usual position that bordered on standing at attention as conversations started, giving the medic the dignity a Captain ought to give someone who's favor he is asking. The handkerchief in hand was folded loosely enough to avoid contaminating the rest of his clothing before being tucked back in it's original place in the harness that kept him securely strapped to his Heli-Helmet.
"Ah, that would work perfect my good man!"
The knife definitely piques his interest. It could be something he might not want to give back considering all he has as weapons go is a measly toothpick, but he keeps quiet about any intention of not returning it. Unlike the oddity of his own skin tone, the assumption is not lost on pirate, but he only offers a chuckle in response as he accepts the knife being offered. Only after he has a firm grip of the handle does he answer.
"Hoh, no no quite the opposite! This is an engine I am unfamiliar with. You could say I am curious on how it works." He saunters back over to the moped in question, trailing a free hand over the seat as he circles back to the start of the gutted engine with his new tool. "Spare parts are always a bonus of course. Would be a shame to let any of this go to waste now that I have nothing else to use should my helm need repairs!"
judgmentrush:
Specter Knight sought… something in the streets of Isola. Unclear what. Coming to terms with his death left an emptiness in him which soon turned to a gnawing want. A want for what? What would soothe this hunger that lay deeper than his bones? Knowledge or closure, he guessed. The revelry (and conflict) of the holiday was lost to him. Every now and then he felt a tug of sentiment upon seeing the romances and quarrels unfold, a tender thoughtfulness which quickly became entangled with a bitter envy he held toward the living. This was a holiday for those who could engage in such activities, this was a holiday for those who had lives to share together. He cut through an alley, turned a corner. This was a holiday for…
Propeller Knight. The strange bladed helmet could belong to no other man. And there he walked, not more than a few meters in front of him. Without thought, the lich crept to the fellow Order member. Footfalls eerily near silent. Was it a conscious choice to be stealthy? Perhaps not to spook the other lest he fly away? There was no answer, Specter Knight was fixated on reaching him. He had to. Maybe this was what he was seeking. Once he felt the sky pirate was within range he reached a long thin arm, aiming to rest it upon one of the other’s epaulettes.
It was quiet. Perhaps a bit too quiet if he had actually thought about it, but he wasn't. No, he was too busy finally enjoying the little bit of peace and filling the empty air with a soft humming of a familiar tune that was only really meant to be heard by himself. That peace was abruptly interrupted as an unknown hand had what he assumed at that moment to have grabbed him. Without a moment's thought, Propeller whipped around to throw his drink at this unknown assailant as a means of distraction before the familiar sight of his former colleague's cloak finally caught his attention mid arc. In a quick desperate attempt to avoid essentially throwing hot coffee in the reaper's face, the startled Frenchman released his grip on the paper cup sending it flying off to the street instead of it's originally intended path.
"Spectre?!"
There was a short beat as what exactly just happened finally caught up to him in full before his shock turned to mild annoyance. The sky captain straightened his jacket with a small tut as he looked over the lost remains of his drink. Well that's gone.
"You should have a bell put on you." He sighed a bit and let the irritation in his voice go. It would be blatantly stupid to pick a fight he knew he couldn't win over a measly drink. "Apologies, you caught me by surprise. Now, did you need something of me or was your intent just to catch me off guard?"
Propeller stood straight as he spoke with his arms held squarely behind his back. He knew to expect barbs from Specter Knight and was ready to roll with the punches by now, but something about him struck the Captain as odd.
DISASTER REPORT #1
OBSERVED PHENOMENON IN SPIRALE’S WARDS FROM 4/17-4/19
FIBONACCI The properties of gravity are in influx. At times it is so heavy that it is difficult to move, and others it is completely absent and allowing even the heaviest of objects to float in the sky. While this might be the most fun, be wary of falling debris or falling yourself if it suddenly shifts back to normal. It is much safer to remain in locations where there is a ceiling.
COTES Constant earthquakes of varied intensity wrack Cotes at random intervals. Many are light and barely noticeable, but several times per day they will be strong enough to risk knocking over less fortified buildings. The school district has a foundation strong enough to function as a safe zone.
GOLDEN Rising sea levels have brought widespread flooding into the sector, making it difficult to access wires for those that are not aquatically inclined. The constant rise and fall of water also means that people are needed to help evacuate the NPC citizens. The Spiral Dome is the safe zone in Golden, anti-flooding provisions executed to keep everyone inside safe.
ARCHIMEDES Storm clouds swirl around Archimedes and it isn’t wracked only by heavy winds but also extreme rainfall and daunting lightning strikes. Visibility is extremely low due to the dark canopy above, and with power outages it can be very difficult to traverse the ward without portable light sources.

The shopping center in Golden Ward is crowded– Bard has to wonder if it’s always this bad. He came to explore the area, and possibly scope out a music shop too, but Pearl Street ended up proving to be a ridiculous kind of packed today. Bard quietly thanks himself for leaving his lute at home. Enough people have shoved into his back today so far that it definitely would have broken by now. He stands on his tiptoes, poking his head up above the crowd to find an emptier place. He spots one after a few seconds, by a street corner on the side of a building. He fights his way through the crowd to get over to that spot.
Finally, he makes it over, resting his hand on the wall and sighing in relief. It’s sunny out today, and the shade and quiet provides some much needed respite, even if just for a moment. He closes his eyes, trying to distance himself from the noise of the crowd behind him. He ought to head home soon… this trip was taking more out of him than he’d expected.
Suddenly, Bard feels an arm snake its way around his shoulders. He jumps, making a noise that could be described as a yelp, and whips around to face the source. He comes face to face with a taller man, wearing a green jacket, poofy pants, and a familiar golden helmet. Someone familiar.
“You’re Propeller Knight,” he says, the sentence coming out less enthusiastic than he meant it to. “I know you!” How many familiar faces are here, anyway? The world is beginning to seem a lot smaller, suddenly…
Propeller immediately releases his grip at the yelp, unaware he had completely caught the other off guard as he did. He let’s off a small chuckle but keeps his hands up as a means to prove he’s both unarmed and not intending harm.
“You are correct! Forgive me my dear ménestrel, I had not meant to frighten you as I did! Us Valley folk tend to stick out among the crowd. Well, I’m not from the Valley but you know what I mean, yes?”
The knight slipped his hand to rest nonchalantly in the front panel of his jacket as he spoke, stance straight in the same militaristic posture he was used to in most casual conversation. He was quite well aware that his faked familiarity with the man was undoubtedly unwarranted, what with the whole Order Of No Quarter issue and not to mention the whole ransacking and grounding of the Glidewing and every other airship that wasn’t a part of his own fleet there after, but any chance he could charm his way out of blame he would take.
“You seem well enough. What brings you to the shopping district this fine day?”
