If you live in the UK I would urge you to complain about the show “Transgender Kids: Who Knows Best?” aired by the BBC on the 12th Jan. If you didn’t see it here is an article listing why everyone is concerned.
Basically, they gave a man (Dr. Zucker) fired from a GIC in Canada for advocating conversion therapy for transgender children under the name “reparative therapy” a huge platform and ultimately supported him. He also compared trans kids to dogs and believed that transgender and gay identities can be ‘cured’ in children.
Here is where you can complain. I have seen in some of my circles that people are meeting with the BBC to pressure them into seeing what they’ve done wrong, and they want to push for an external investigation and a public apology. However, they need continued public pressure before they will even consider it.
We deserve better than manufactured controversy that directly harms trans kids.

(Donate here) My girlfriend @trans-primarina and I have been in an online relationship for a pretty long time and we’ve known since the beginning that we want to spend our lives with each other. We want to find a safe place here in America, but Amber is from Holland and would need airfare to get to me. We’re also both trans women so getting to somewhere safe is more important than ever. We want to get married so that she can become a citizen and we can be together again and find a place that is safe for us both. We love eachother so much, but love only carries you so far, we need help from others in order to make this happen. it sucked. real fucking bad. 30 seconds in they compared trans children to dogs. they stole videos from happy transitioned youtuber stef sanjati without her consent or prior knowledge. they got a “””doctor””” who had been fired recently to talk about trans kids.
boycott bbc2. fuck them.
it is worth noting, the former doctor in question, Zucker, was the one who was using abusive conversion therapy on trans youth to get them to not transition, and claimed that his results (which were him traumatizing kids into submission) proved that gender questioning youth were all just in a phase. He is the worst kind of scum

Hello, Void Of The Internet, I am not really sure how to go about asking for help with this kind of thing since I don’t know anyone personally that I can ask for feedback so I am going to just try making a post in hopes that someone will stumble on it.
For a while now, I have been making slow progress on writing my first book of a fantasy series. I have been trying to do heavy research because I have many PoC characters influenced by a variety of real-world cultures, but there are some things that I would much rather talk to an actual person about as opposed to trying to find an answer through google about whether x thing would be disrespectful or offensive. I’m lucky enough to know quite a few people from different parts of the world but one area I am really concerned about is respectfully writing a nation influenced by Native American cultures and I don’t have anyone I can ask. I found a really good writing blog that offers answers to these kinds of questions but they have their ask box closed for the next few months. If anyone would be willing to lend me some time to answer some questions I would be whole-heartedly grateful forever and ever..
