KL Rahul to Nitish Kumar Reddy: 5 players battle to watch in today's IPL 2026 match
Sunrisers Hyderabad, riding on back-to-back wins, will look to secure a third consecutive victory when they face Delhi Capitals at home. Currently fourth on the table, SRH are high on confidence after defending 194 against Chennai Super Kings, thanks to strong bowling contributions from Eshan Malinga, Nitish Reddy, Sakib Hussain, and Shivang Kumar. While Praful Hinge had an off day, his composure in the final over remains a positive.
However, SRH’s batting has been inconsistent. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head have followed a high-risk, high-reward approach, but the returns have been mixed. This has increased the reliance on Heinrich Klaasen, the current Orange Cap holder. Contributions from Ishan Kishan and the middle order will be crucial.
Delhi Capitals, placed fifth, bounced back from two consecutive losses with a successful chase against RCB. KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs led the recovery after a top-order collapse, while David Miller sealed the win, redeeming himself after a previous setback. Historically, DC have had the edge over SRH in Hyderabad, winning two of the last three completed matches at this venue.

Search For Missing American Pilot Continues—U.S. And Iranian Forces Race To Find Crew Member (Live Updates).
The U.S. military continued its search Saturday for a missing American pilot whose aircraft was shot down Friday by Iranian forces, one of two U.S. warplane crashes in the region, while Iran conducts a competing search as it urges locals through state media to find the “enemy pilot.”.
One of two crew members of an American F-15E Strike Eagle war jet remains missing as of midday Saturday, and the American military is conducting a “frantic” search in southwestern Iran to find the pilot, the Associated Press reported.
The competing U.S. and Iranian searches for the missing pilot have stoked fears Iran could capture the pilot and use him as leverage, a New York Times analysis says.
The Times reported Israel suspended attacks on Iran in the region where the pilot is believed to be missing and is sharing intelligence with American forces.
The other crew member in the F-15E crash was rescued by U.S. forces and was receiving medical treatment as of Friday afternoon.
Iranian state media first claimed early Friday it had downed a U.S. fighter jet over central Iran, and multiple U.S. outlets later reported Iran shot down the jet, an F-15E two-seater plane.
The downed aircraft comes after Trump announced a strike on an Iranian highway bridge near Tehran and warned of “much more to follow,” also claiming the United States would bombard Iran “back to the stone ages” over the next several weeks.
Trump, who previously claimed the United States “knocked out” Iran’s navy, air force and air defense capabilities, did not comment on the rescue operations in an interview with NBC News, noting the incident would not affect peace negotiations with Iran.

Kirk Cousins agrees to sign contract with Raiders, agent says.
HENDERSON, Nev. -- The Las Vegas Raiders agreed to terms with Kirk Cousins on Thursday, two days after new coach Klint Kubiak said he wanted to add another veteran quarterback to the roster.
Terms of the deal, which was announced by Cousins' agent on social media, were not immediately available Thursday morning.
Cousins, 37, will join a Raiders team that is widely expected to select former Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick in the NFL draft later this month.
But Kubiak and general manager John Spytek, who were among those in attendance Wednesday to scout Mendoza at Indiana's pro day, have said on multiple occasions that they prefer not to start a young quarterback right away this season.
"Ideally, you don't want him to start day one. You'd love him to be able to learn behind somebody. That's in a perfect world," Kubiak said Tuesday at the annual league meetings. "It doesn't always work out that way. Sometimes they have to play from day one, and it's our job as a coach to get them ready to go.
"I think it does help the player, though, if they can sit behind a mature adult and watch how they run the show."
The deal comes less than a month after Cousins was released by the Atlanta Falcons, who parted ways with the quarterback two years after signing him to a four-year, $180 million contract.
Before adding Cousins, Aidan O'Connell was the only quarterback on Las Vegas' roster after the team traded Geno Smith to the New York Jets last month. The move reunites Cousins with Kubiak, who was the quarterback coach and offensive coordinator for three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (2019-2021).
During that stretch with Kubiak in Minnesota, Cousins passed for 12,089 yards, 94 touchdowns, 26 interceptions and had a completion rate of 67.6%. Kubiak was the offensive coordinator in 2021 when Cousins was named to the Pro Bowl after throwing for 4,221 yards and 33 touchdowns with a passer rating of 103.1 and a completion rate of 66.3%.
Cousins had an up-and-down two years in Atlanta. The Falcons drafted quarterback Michael Penix Jr. just six weeks after signing Cousins -- a move that took him by surprise.
Coming off a torn Achilles with the Vikings in 2023, Cousins led the Falcons to a 6-3 start in 2024 before an arm injury hampered his performance. He went on a stretch of five games with nine interceptions before the Falcons benched him in Week 16, committing to Penix as the quarterback of the present and future.
Cousins returned healthy in 2025, but the Falcons had already made up their minds that Penix was their quarterback. But Penix tore his left ACL in Week 11, and Cousins started the rest of the way, including a four-game winning streak to close the season.
Cousins completed 61.7% of his passes for 1,721 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions last season. His 47.6 QBR tied him at 22nd in the league with Bryce Young.
A fourth-round pick by Washington in the 2012 draft, Cousins has passed for 44,700 yards with 298 touchdowns and 131 interceptions in 14 seasons in the NFL.

SCOTUS rules against conversion therapy ban.
SCOTUS WATCH: The Supreme Court ruled against Colorado’s ban on conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ children, with an 8-1 majority finding that the state law likely amounts to constitutionally impermissible viewpoint discrimination that infringes on therapists’ free speech.
The decision: Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the opinion in Chiles v. Salazar, one of multiple significant tests of LGBTQ+ rights and free speech at the court this term, though he said the question before the court here was “narrow.” Notably, liberal Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor joined with the court’s conservative supermajority for a lopsided opinion that determined lower courts didn’t subject the ban to tough-enough First Amendment scrutiny.
The amendment “stands as a bulwark against any effort to prescribe an orthodoxy of views,” Gorsuch wrote, lambasting bans like Colorado’s that apply to talk therapy as “an egregious assault” on free-speech ideals, POLITICO’s Josh Gerstein reports. The justices remanded the case to lower courts to use a tougher standard. The White House had sided with the therapist at the center of the case — evangelical Christian licensed counselor Kaley Chiles, who sought to help children who wanted to mitigate their same-sex desire — and urged the court to strike down Colorado’s law, which has never been enforced.
It’s the latest in a string of rulings in recent years in which the court has sided with conservative Christians’ freedom of speech or religion and/or limited protections for gay, bisexual and transgender people.
“Counselors walking alongside these young people shouldn’t be limited to promoting state-approved goals like gender transition,” Chiles said in a statement celebrating the ruling.
In a lengthy, fiery dissent, which she read from the bench to convey her displeasure, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said the rest of the court had denied Colorado’s crucial ability to regulate health care professionals, particularly for such a “dangerous therapy modality.” And she warned that the consequences for regulating all kinds of medical care that is speech-only could extend far beyond conversion therapy: “In the worst-case scenario, our medical system unravels as various licensed healthcare professionals … start broadly wielding their newfound constitutional right to provide substandard medical care,” Jackson wrote.
The implications could be significant. More than 20 states have similarly banned conversion therapy, which major medical groups oppose as a discredited practice that doesn’t work but does worsen mental illness and lead to more suicides among LGBTQ+ people. Now those laws will likely be at risk. California state Sen. Scott Wiener indicated one new approach for opponents of conversion therapy: He’s introduced a bill that would expand the statute of limitations for malpractice claims, making it easier for people to go after “those who inflict this torture on them.”

Kristi Noem suffers another humiliation after being fired by Trump.
Employees at the Department of Homeland Security celebrated the removal of photos of ex-chief Kristi Noem from the agency's headquarters, following her departure.
Noem was fired by President Donald Trump on March 5 and subsequently named special envoy to The Shield of the Americas, with Sen. Markwayne Mullin sworn in as her replacement.
Upwards of 10 framed “glamor shots” of Noem were taken down from her Customs and Border Protection workspace even before her official exit.
The photos, installed around January, had replaced images of rank-and-file federal agents, leading to significant resentment among department staff. One source told Politico that Corey Lewandowski, a former special government employee who left the DHS with Noem, may have orchestrated the photo gallery.
DHS employees say they hope that Mullin will repair the agency's reputation, which they felt was undermined by Noem's controversial handling of various issues during her tenure.

El Niño is on the way: What that means for California’s weather
NOAA scientists have issued an “El Niño Watch” for this summer with chances rising through the fall.
Earlier this month, scientists at NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, issued an “El Niño Watch” for this summer. They said there is a 62% chance that El Niño conditions will appear from June through August, growing to 83% by October.
That triggered a lot of hype about “Super El Niños,” “Godzilla El Niños” and other scary-sounding weather events.
What’s actually going on? Jan Null is a veteran meteorologist who worked as a lead forecaster with the National Weather Service and now runs Golden Gate Weather Services, a company in Half Moon Bay.

Pope recalls many Middle East Christians who suffer with Christ during Holy Week.
Pope Leo XIV decries the fact that many Christians in the Middle East will be unable to celebrate Holy Week rites, urging everyone to remember the many people who share in Christ's suffering as the Church contemplates the Mystery of the Lord's Passion.
By Deborah Castellano Lubov
"Precisely as the Church contemplates the mystery of the Lord’s Passion, we cannot forget those who today truly share in His suffering."
Pope Leo XIV made this observation at the conclusion of his Palm Sunday Mass in the Vatican.
He drew the Church's attention to the plight of Christians in the Middle East, saying their "trial calls upon the conscience of all."
"At the beginning of Holy Week, we are closer than ever in prayer to the Christians of the Middle East, who suffer the consequences of a terrible conflict and in many cases cannot fully live the rites of these holy days," he said.
The Pope invited the faithful to join him in raising their supplication to the Prince of Peace, "that He may sustain peoples wounded by war and open concrete paths of reconciliation and peace."
Before reciting the midday Angelus prayer, the Pope entrusted to the Lord seafarers who are victims of war, saying he prays for the deceased, the wounded, and their families.
"Earth, sky, and sea," he underscored, "are created for life and for peace."
Finally, Pope Leo urged the Church to pray for all migrants who have died at sea, in particular for those who lost their lives in recent days off the coast of the island of Crete.

Worldwide "No Kings" rallies set to draw millions protesting against Trump.
Organizers of Saturday's "No Kings" rallies across the country are predicting that the protests against the actions of President Donald Trump and his administration could add up to one of the largest demonstrations in U.S. history, with Minnesota taking center stage.
Organizers say more than 3,100 events have been registered in all 50 states, with more than 9 million people expected to participate.
The protests began with a gathering in Paris, France, on Saturday morning. Several hundred people, mostly Americans living in France, along with French labor unions and human rights organizations gathered at Bastille with anti-Trump signs that read "War for profit, our troops are not for sale" and "When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty."
"I protest all of Trump's illegal, immoral, reckless, and feckless, endless wars," Ada Shen, the Paris No Kings organizer, said. "It is clear he doesn't really have a plan. It is clearly that the abuse of power is the point. It is very clear that he is a strong man who is abusing the authority vested in him by the American people as our elected president."
The rally at the Minnesota Capitol in St. Paul has been designated the national flagship event, in recognition of how the state where federal agents fatally shot two people who were monitoring Trump's immigration crackdown became an epicenter of resistance.
Headlining that observance will be Bruce Springsteen, performing "Streets of Minneapolis," which he wrote in response to the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and in tribute to the thousands of Minnesotans who took to the streets over the winter. Springsteen's Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour, which has a "No Kings" theme, kicks off Tuesday in Minneapolis.
Joan Baez, Jane Fonda and Maggie Rogers are scheduled to appear alongside a slate of local officials, including Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, Attorney General Keith Ellison and St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her.

'No Kings' calls itself leaderless but its own internal documents tell a very different story.
"No Kings," a decentralized protest movement that crystallized in opposition to President Donald Trump's second term, will hold thousands of events on Saturday morning, according to Sarah Parker, an organizer for one of the events in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The protests mark the most recent development for the amorphous group, which has prompted similar events in the past.
"Tomorrow we’re going to have over 3,500 events across the country," Parker said. "I think it’s important to be out in the streets at this moment in time to save our country. The events will be overwhelmingly peaceful and there are going to be millions of Americans from different affiliations, different ages and different ethnic backgrounds coming together to be in community."
Parker did not describe how "No Kings" works with local figures to organize events but said the protests aim to build on local displeasure with the administration.
"I think this is organic. This is a people-powered movement. We have different local hosts that are volunteers who have stepped up to host an event in their areas, even in rural areas. We have hundreds of events in rural and deep-red states," Parker said.
Unlike other organized organizations, "No Kings" is not a non-profit, a business, or a formal organization, making its structure a mystery. Because of its lack of centralization, it has little to no financial reporting requirements and no easily identifiable leadership.
"No Kings" first burst onto the scene through "No Kings Day" in June 2025, an event that, in the words of their website, inspired "a nationwide uprising 14 times larger than both of Trump’s inaugurations combined."
