if someone wanted to get into convex stuff then where should he start?

hello! welcome to insanity- i mean what

if you're interested in their general dynamic, you can pretty much watch any season from either of them and you can't miss the other :D but if you're interested in the convex as in the pranking duo, that would be from season 5, and season 6 where they formed concorp. here are some stuff you might find helpful:

personally, when i started to get into convex more, i watched scar's season 5 and then his season 6, and some bits from cub's seasons. scar's videos tend to be a bit more fast-paced while cub keeps in more stuff (like them going to space to earn the vex heads was never shown in scar's videos. cub's s6 also has lots of stuff from the civil war that scar missed due to being absent)

i think i got a pretty good idea of what was going on from watching scar's s5 and s6 and then filling in some bits from cub's seasons, though i've seen people recommending watching scar's s5 and then cub's s6!

that might seem like a lot but honestly, there is a lot of stuff :D even after season 6 they still to this day keep mentioning convex and concorp every now and then - fairly recently cub was asked if concorp would ever return, and his reply was "did it ever really go away?"

Last I heard, his chat had gotten him to, like, 6 months straight of “girl month.”

This man is cis. He is not trans, and has no desire to transition.

He just wanted to do something fun for his chat, and he has a great time. He looks comfortable, he doesn’t make a mockery of women or femininity. It’s just wholesome cross dressing fun.

I saw a clip with not much context but I’m pretty sure Finn found the guy who sends him 30k a month’s PayPal and has limited them to $3 max per donation sdhshfbbd

okay, but the actual video of Finn blocking this follower (TenMuses, who offered him $300,000 to get breast implants and later paid $300k for him to do voice training) is pretty unsettling? the guy’s like 40yo, a doctor with kids, has insane amounts of money that he regularly spends on Finn & femboy streamers, and he’s out here pressuring a 22yo who left college into what looks like am unwilling findom relationship, which other fans have noticed and been weirded out by. He keeps insisting Finn wants to be a woman & tries to influence him into a dom/sub relationship in increasingly unsettling ways, despite the immense disparity in their age, fiscal resources, education, etc. Ten uses mind games, sends inappropriate gifts, and weaponizes the social approval of Finn’s chat to add social pressure to his tactics. it’s grooming, plain and simple

This guy also became enraged at Finn for limiting his donations (which is tantamount to undermining his physical power over Finn), and then baited him with the offer of making a $25K donation to a trans nonprofit—which is an amazing thing! but also, a very hard offer to turn down without looking like a dick—if Finn groveled and apologized to him, unblocked his financials, was a “good girl”, etc. Finn tried to draw a line around being fiscally coerced, and this dude used it as an opportunity to publicly humiliate him.

combined with the social pressure of a fanbase who either A. support the “bit” because they think it’s funny, B. are trans/GNC and inspired by Finn, making it easy to project their experiences on him as an “egg” and root for him to “truly understand himself,” and/or C. are idealizing Ten as a trans ally/sugar daddy that they ship this 22yo with—it all makes for some pretty rocky social terrain which, paired with large fiscal incentives, makes for immense pressure to disregard personal boundaries and behave in certain, widely-desired ways

I trust that this Finn dude’s doing the best he can to make choices he’s comfortable with, but streamers regularly have to make decisions regarding their financial security without the mental distance offered by a “normal” job. that makes it easy to undermine the significance of what you’re being asked (or forced) to do, especially when it’s presented as though you’re the one making the choice. this makes it even harder to recognize the harmful effects of such situations. I know he’s getting mad money, but mental health hinges on more than just a bank statement. I hope Finn knows he’s in control the entire time, and that he can and should do whatever feels the most comfortable for him. No one should have to sacrifice their personal autonomy and identity for a paycheck
