5th Times the charm

Decided to pick this back up after only sampling the pattern last time. It took a few false starts and changing needles....and the changing needles back.... but start up rows for the shawl are complete and have down the first set of pattern rows. It's a simple pattern of two repeating rows but I also added a slip-stitch edging and extra stitch markers (still need to add one more to the one side where the other kfb happens).

I'm trying to polish up my very rudimentary crochet skills and to do that I've picked up a granny square ebook with 100 granny square patterns in it and I'm going to try to do a granny square a day! This was today's (14JAN26) sobre while at work.

Was helping my aunt move all of last week and so this project was put on hold but now! Forward and onward! This square was giving me so much trouble - had to stop by the yarn store while helping my aunt move to get stitch markers that would work for crochet because I am afflicted with the crafting disease of I-Can't-Count-itis.

But it's done and I'm so happy with how it looks! The red hook is for chaining and then normal stitches were worked with the green hook because I also chain/cast-on too tight.

Day three! I did this yesterday (27JAN26) but forgot to post, oops

16 hour work days are terrible for keeping up with the posting.... ANYWAY

I also just realized that I'm also terrible at keeping track of the date because I've been using the date as posted by my work but we work in "Zulu" / GMT so it's already the 29th "at" my work while it's still the 28th for when I actually crafted the square... And all these posts are a day off... Whibbley Wobbly Timey Wimey and all that jazz I guess...

I ran out of the purple+blue+teal yarn which is why I've moved into the next partial skein from the stash - cotton pink+white.

First crafty project of the year complete! I needed to mend some of this puppy's clothes - the other sweater had a hole at the ribbed seam while this blue stripped shirt needed to be taken in around her chest so that it wasn't causing her to trip anymore. She was such a trooper (though a reluctant one lol) with letting me have her try on the fit of the shirt multiple times 😂
