{…~♡~…} [ HAPPY GASP ]
Don't mind her as she launches herself to get another little nibble of that fantastic black hair Mr. Fair.
Karou was busy preparing a cake for a customer who had come in earlier that day they wanted it for a child’s birthday party. So he was decorating it accordingly. He had some balloons out of icing and was drawing on the strings with some other icing now when the door opened. He looked up to see a girl now. He smiled lightly, but not to open his mouth, he hardly did this because of his fangs, he wouldn’t want to scare the girl away now. "Hello Miss, may I be of assistance?"
{…~♡~…} She studied the quaint place for a moment, the tears all but evaporating from her eyes, and looked to Karou with a smile that mirrored his. Flufflepuff trekked further in and closer to the counter, craning up on her toes so she could see what it was he was working on. Since she could not speak, she fished into her pocket and pulled out her notepad, jotting down a quick message before showing it to him.
[Hello. I'm sorry I can't talk, but I wanted to know if you had any cupcakes!]

{…~♡~…} Ooohhh... His hair looks bouncy. Purple with darker purple. Wonder if I could taste it....
Flufflepuff was still pretty upset by how rude that eyepatch guy had been to her that she hadn't noticed she'd wandered all the way into an unfamiliar part of Twilight Town. She stopped outside the bakery, peering inside at the man with the peculiar hair, and rubbed at her eyes. The cakes looked delicious and seemed to cheer her up a bit, so she stepped inside.
Wonderful. The girl was going to cry. He could tell by the way her lip trembled and how her eye’s watered up. “You should piss off. I’m not going to get any nicer or talk any more politer than I am now.”
{…~♡~…} Tears pooled at the corner of her eyes and her cheeks flushed pink, almost as pink as her hair. She sniffed twice, pathetically, and pulled her hood over her head. A distressed, high-pitched keening sounded from within her jacket and Flufflepuff scurried off a ways before she could bring herself to wail. Some people were just mean.
And he levels the pink haired female with a hard stare. “Fuck. You.” He wasn’t going to take lessons on what he should and shouldn’t say from this person. He didn’t even know her.
{…~♡~…} Staring in disbelief for a moment, Flufflepuff let the note drop from her fingers and tried to comprehend why he was upset with her. It was a bad word! She was only trying to keep him from getting the soap-in-the-mouth treatment. Her brows turning upward, her bottom lip trembled. She was so about to cry.
"Why am I such a fuck up?"
{…~♡~…} A small gasp left the girl as she passed the oddly dressed man with the salt-and-pepper haired man (that was starting to look deliciously tempting) She jotted down a note and waved it in his face indignantly, cheeks puffed and her free hand on her hip to display her disapproval.
[ That's a bad word! ]
At first, Zack had no idea of who was staring at him- or their plan. After all, many stared at him daily. However, not a single one of them had ever dared actually come up to him, and use him as a lift to chew on his hair. With tension running thick through his body, the former 1st reached behind him, grabbed the stranger by the back of their shirt. Then lift them over his shoulder so he could stare this person in the eye with sheer disbelief at their gall at continuing to chew on the black strands.
"Alright! Who’s kid is this?" He called out, surprising himself with how calm he sounded.
{…~♡~…} Tastes like the wind and sky.
Noticing the harshness in the man's voice, she quickly let Zack's hair slip from her mouth and dangled in his grip like a limp stuffed animal. The crowd continued to bustle around and about, not one person stopping to claim the fluffy pink mess of a girl. Flufflepuff waited for a good thirty seconds before swinging her feet, wiggling out of her furry hood so it fell off. She resisted the urge to stick a strand of her own vibrant hair into her mouth and smiled at Zack cutely, putting her hands on his shoulders again so she wasn't only hanging in the air by her jacket.
Her eyes beamed a friendly hello, unabashed and completely oblivious to how odd she must seem to the seasoned warrior.

{…~♡~…} What strange black hair. It jettisons up and down in every direction! I wonder what it tastes like....
While the tall SOLDIER man was preoccupied with a text message Flufflepuff inched over and placed two, sleeve covered palms on the back of his pauldrons, craning up on her tiptoes so she could get one of the spikes into her mouth.
The male paused after a moment, then shifting to get comfortable once again in his spot. He paused after a moment with curious gold optics focused on the girl. She seemed rather quiet, though he knew that the adopted brother that he had was like that when he was younger. Only difference was that he was selectively mute at the time and would only really communicate through sign language. This is how Vanitas had learned it and was more than happy to use it in case mute might be the case.
When she was able to pick up the song right where he left off, he shifted once more to free his hands to see if she knew sign. “Impressive.” Only one way to find out, right? He carefully signed can you understand this? to her carefully, trying to be sure that he remembered the correct motions before he made them. It had been a while since his brother decided to finally speak, so he hadn’t really needed to do it for a while now.
{…~♡~…} Clapping her hands together and gasping in unadulterated joy, Flufflepuff bounced in her seat and nodded, pulling down her fluffy sleeves so she too could sign back to him.
[ Yes I do! I'm so excited that we may speak like normal now! I don't like writing everything all the time but hardly anyone speaks sign. ]
She noticed the uncertainty in his motions and began to sign is slower, more deliberate motions.
[ Don't worry about signing back to me if you don't know how to say it. I can hear fine, just can't speak. What's your name? ]
Just from having known Ven and Roxas so long, she had picked up some of the sign language that they use. Enough anyways to recognize that she was being greeted. So a smile fixed itself on her face, hand going to fix the bit of hair that was being messed with. “Hello there.”
{…~♡~…} Flufflepuff allowed the hair to slip through her fingers and settled down next to Namine at the table, looking over at her textbook for a minute or two and then pulling out a notepad of her own. Sticking her tongue out as she wrote, she then set her pen down with a pleased huff and scooted the book over to her companion.
ℋi. I'm ℱℓuffℓℯpuff. I ℓike your hair. It's pretty. Can I play with it some more?
Come on and smile!
Golden eyes remained slightly wide in response to someone nibbling on his hair, but otherwise took the paper given to him. He didn’t like others touching his hair unless it was to run their fingers through it, though he supposed for now it was best to read the paper given to him. He sat in silence as he read it, raven brow raising for long moments before he gave a short, slow nod.
Now that would explain a good bit.. He moved to hand her back the paper, having that photographic memory tended to serve him. “Could ya please stop chewin’ my hair, Flufflepuff?” His voice was a calm, level tone, one that anyone would use in a public. He knew manners, that was for sure, but the fact that he was a kind man in the first place was one that usually held true.
{…~♡~…} Hesitantly, she withdrew, and moved instead to sit at the boy's side. She slipped the paper back into the folds of her pocket and tugged on the drawstrings of her parka. Flufflepuff wasn't much a person for social interaction when she wasn't permitted to touch the other person, but she'd been encouraged to at least try. Unsure if he could sign and not really in the mood to fish around for her notebook, she turned to him with a friendly smile and picked up humming the song where Vanitas had left off.
[I need you so bad magic woman,
I can't leave you alone.]
Sitting quietly with her textbook laid on in front of her at the cafe table, she was hardly paying attention to anything that was going on around her. That was until it felt like….someone touching her hair. That blonde head was quick to snap up, turning in the direction she’d felt it come from. “C-can I help you?”
{…~♡~…} Can I help you?
Now that wasn't something Flufflepuff heard often. Usually it was more of a 'Stop that' or 'Go away freak.' She stopped in midstroke and fixed the girl at her side with a long stare, the tip of her tongue poking out just a tad. After a moment's debate, she pulled her hands away and signed a friendly;
[Hello.]
Sephiroth’s eyes remained fixated on her, almost as if questioning her presence. He wasn’t, though. She had as much of a right to be here as the rest of those present did. If anything, he was surprised by her lack of a reply. It wasn’t until he saw her pull out a notebook that he realised she was unable to speak, and the smile burdening his feature’s grew. How… inspiring.
Sephiroth remained as he was, remarkably patient as he waited for her to be finished writing. He didn’t know what she planned on saying but, when she lifted the notebook and aimed it towards him, he felt that his smile had been justified. Then, ignoring all the press and stories being written, he pushed through the crowd and made his way towards her.
”Tacos are fine with me,” he’d say.
She’d gained herself a yes. It wasn’t often that this happened, but those who knew him knew he was all for meeting new people and getting to know them.
"Flufflepuff," he’d mutter. "That’s a lovely name."
The words were faint but definitely loud enough for her to hear. If anything, he was trying to avoid exposing her to the reporters. He didn’t fancy her being ambushed later for no reason at all.
{…~♡~…}------ Oblivious to all the bewildered gazes aimed at her, Flufflepuff emitted a happy gasp and rolled a little on the balls of her feet. Food sounded much better then standing around in a room with a bunch of chattering people that hardly made sense. They should see that all the talking was bothersome. She thought perhaps if they all had tacos, they'd be less inclined to wave microphones and aim bright, obnoxious flashes in people's faces.
Turning to her chaperon, Ms. Rigazzo, she quickly signed that she'd be okay in finding her way back after her and the pretty hair man went out for a meal, leaving the poor woman to stand dumbfounded in awe as she turned to Sephiroth.
Poking the tip of her tongue out of her mouth, Flufflepuff pulled down a fuzzy sleeve and reached to take one of Sephiroth's hands in her own, tugging the tall man forward gently. With her other hand she fished around in her pocket, carefully maneuvering the both of them through the crowd, and fished out a pre-written notecard with some basic information that she had been coached to hand out to new people whenever meeting or interacting with them. Once they'd escaped the mass of people, she offered it to him and waited patiently for him to read it.
ℋello. My name is ℱiona, but I like ℱℓuffℓℯpuff better. I can't speak ℓike most people can but that doesn't mean you can't taℓk to me. I'm very ℊood at siℊn ℓanℊuaℊe but I can aℓso write just fine! Don’t worry if I act a ℓittlℓe stranℊe. I have speciaℓ needs. If this bothers you at any time, pℓease poℓiteℓy and ℊentℓy remove yourseℓf from my presence. ℒoud noises or yeℓℓing wiℓℓ upset me, and I couℓd potentionaℓℓy harm both myseℓf and you.
If any probℓems occur, pℓease find someone to escort me back to St. Vitus Mentaℓ Institute ℓocated at the south end of St. Vitus parkway.
Interviews weren’t necessary. Sephiroth had always thought this. He didn’t consider himself high and almighty, and he was often seen quite… detached in situations such as these. That day was no different. He lacked the interest in the cameras and was already beginning to wonder why most of the questions asked were about his personal life and not about ShinRa, as they were supposed to be. Inhaling deeply, he prepared himself for a response. He would have managed to start speaking were it not to have been for the small, rounded piece of paper tossed his way.
His lips pursed into a thin line as he turned towards wherever it was it had come from. The press seemed to have noticed it, too, and they were doing the same. They wanted to see who had dared intervene, and were looking for some sort of reaction that would make this gathering the perfect story. It wasn’t long before the General spotted the one that had done it and, when he did, he’d offer her the faintest of smiles.
"…Can I help you?"
{…~♡~…} Uh-oh. Now that all eyes were on her, Flufflepuff couldn't help but feel very much disliked and scrutinized. Tugging on the drawstrings of her parka, she slowly attempted to draw the hood closed and hide herself out of sight of the many people that now glanced her way. Her chaperon looked absolutely mortified.
What were people even doing here anyway? Asking questions? She could ask a question!
Radiating with an energetic excitedness, she reached into the depths of her jacket and tugged out a notebook, taking a moment to scrawl out in large fancy letters her question for the General.
ℋi. I'm ℱℓuffℓℯpuff. It's ℓunch time but everyone keeps taℓking so nobody can ℓeave. I'm hungry. You ℓook hungry too. Can we go get tacos?
——- Sighs.
Someone tear him from the press. He isn’t enjoying himself.
{…~♡~…} In the middle of an interview? Not a single fuck given. She aimed a paper football at the standoffish General from where he stood and flicked it in his general direction.
