Whatever the other blonde was thinking was lost on her. Completely oblivious to what exact situations ran through her head. As for herself, she was content if somewhat confused by this strange turn in whatever you would call their relationship. Leaning back further into her couch, the woman sighed softly and closed her eyes, clearing out the mist that had formed inside her mind. A moment or two of simply laying there. Her phone was silent.

Eventually she chucked it to the side and slowly removed herself from her lazing. A glance at the clock told her it was inching towards what could be considered ‘late’. Perhaps the other had gone to bed. Whatever. She needed to eat something. Stumbling into the kitchen, shaking her head just to make sure her thoughts wouldn’t drift back into a big muddle of things, she carefully searched through the room for something simple. And got the water boiling for a cup of tea.

No sooner had she poured her cup that a strange thought drifted in. Sending the same sort of pictures back to make them even. It was an amusing idea at first but soon grew into an unpleasant taste. No, that may come off as either too strong. It can go wrong in way too many ways. Save themselves both the embarrassment of going through that again.

And anyway, if she was going to show off her curves, she would rather do it up close. Ah, but Namine didn’t know of her profession now did she? Quite the conundrum. Larxene leaned against the counter sipping her tea. Maybe it was best to just forget about it all.

       The steam and hot water surrounding her worked at easing her tense muscles. This sort of over thinking couldn’t be good for her health, that much was becoming apparent. After washing everything, she just couldn’t bring herself to get out until the water was running cold and causing shivers to run over her form.         Maybe she should just be brave for once. This thought repeated itself over and over again in her mind as she went about toweling off and working through her after shower routine. The monotonous actions worked at keeping her hands busy but did nothing for her restless brain.        By the time she made it back to her room and had her phone in hand, she’d made her decision. With a deep breath, she brought the device closer to her face to reread the messages that had been exchanged already. Once finished, she took another steadying breath and just went for it. 

[txt] Do you think you’ll be stopping by the shop tomorrow? It’d be great          to see you again. Feels like it’s been awhile.

      There. It was done. And hopefully not too forward. This of course did nothing to relax her and she chose to focus on getting ready for bed. Her hair was left to air dry and a simple nightgown was pulled on before she finally crawled under her covers. He phone was brought close, hand gripping it tightly. All the while her heart beat faster. This was silly. Completely childish. Right?

An Unlikely Customer || Vexen and Naminé

Vexen followed the girl to her desk, seeing her interest. He had a feeling that she would enjoy having free reign over the design. He had no clue over the design, so he told her what he knew.

“Well, I’m not so sure,” said the blond. “Biology is my field of study, and my colleagues gave me the nickname Chilly or Snowman, for my last name. Would either of those work?”

She listened to him carefully, nodding as he spoke. Her hip rested against the desk, being of the right height to do so. “Hmm...you probably don’t want a snowflake or a snowman I’m sure.” The pen tapped against her chin in thought. 

Honestly biology had never been her strong suit, much too spacey for the more academic classes. Not that she did poorly in school, just not...flying colors. “What’s that man that Da Vinci drew..? The Vitruvian Man? How about something like that?” It was an idea at least right?

Little did the two blondes know how similar their thoughts were. Constant confusion. Fate or whatever it was, works in strange ways. A little thing sparked, and grew leaving scattered thoughts and conflicted feelings wherever it led. On the other end of the line, Narele was also getting fed up with trying to figure things out.

Letting a sigh escape, she buried her face in pillows. No, she didn’t want to deal with it now. No need to get worked up, no need to try and figure things out on this particular occasion. It’ll come when it’s ready. Even if waiting is excruciating.

Figuring that was it, she let her hand holding her phone dangle precariously over the floor. The print on the fabric was beginning to become burned in her mind from staring at it in her annoyance. This was then followed by another groan. Narele, or Larxene as the girl knew her, did not like this. Did not like not knowing. Not knowing is a recipe for trouble.

The phone buzzed again and made her grip tighten. Must she look at it? …Yes. It could after all, be horribly timed business matters. Nope, her again. Well at least there was an explanation. And an interesting thought.

[text]: ...I'm guessing pictures from the net aren't acceptable. [text]: I dunno. I guess people are just afraid of anything remotely sexual. [text]: Which is pretty stupid, nudity doesn't automatically mean sex.

…Well now she just made it even more awkward. Yes, talk about sex, great subject after you receive random nudes. An annoyed huff and back to the pillow her face went. Stupid. No no, you can fix this. Or. Well you can’t but may as well say what you want to say. Already stuffed things up.

This whole relationship really was trouble.

     The last thing she wanted to do was make things worse on the two of them. It was already bad enough as it was. She knew that she enjoyed the other female’s presence around the shop, but that was all they had really done. Just time spent around plenty of other people in a very sterile smelling building. 

     Not that she hated that either though. Maybe it was for the best anyways. What would Larxene even think of her outside of an environment where she was more comfortable? This thought brought a blush to her cheeks, body turning onto it’s side so she could curl into a ball of embarrassment. Was this too much wishful thinking? 

     What if she was getting ahead of herself? A sigh fell out of her lips followed by a groan. This was so stupid. It was childish and stupid. A silly schoolgirl crush. One she didn’t know if she wanted to pursue. 

    Even after her phone went off again, she didn’t bother to look at it. Her head needed to be cleared and her thoughts become refreshed. Besides, she didn’t want to look desperate for communication. So she dropped her phone to the side without checking the texts and got up. 

   Maybe a shower would ease her nerves. Maybe. 

   Way to go, Namine.
