Your accounts, organisations and projects now get fine grained control of what users can do. Want to prevent your users from ever sharing media, for example? Just turn off the abilities.
We now have @mentions in Aframe. Type and @ sign and you’ll get a list of your project team mates. Anyone you @mention will get an email with your comment and a link to reply.
Automatically transcode all your incoming media as it arrives? Now you can, at account, organisation and project levels...
Your documents and your video footage, reunited at last. The “footage” and “documents” tabs have been merged into “media”, where all of your project’s stuff is housed, side by side. This means that you can now add documents to collections, share them alongside clips and download them from a single place. Much simpler. Much more powerful.
Find clips across projects and locations with the shiny, new search box in the left hand navigation bar. You can review the clips wholesale or start playing from the timecode of the metadata that matched your query.
We now have review and approval via our share links - probably our most requested feature. You create an approval share link and who it needs to go to. Your link is emailed to them. When they respond you see their comments on the share link management page. You also get their responses in the reviewer and can filter for approved or rejected footage.
You can now split your Aframe account into organisations. Then divvy up your storage and seats between them as you need.
Administrators for all customers on a yearly contracts will now have access to a metrics dashboard to help them understand how their organisations are using Aframe.
View your footage in a list as well as in a grid of thumbnails.
Users with the share ability can now view and manage share links to project footage. View all share links created for a project, who created them, how many times they've been viewed, when they expire and render them immediately inaccessible if necessary.
Download your clips in any available flavour via Aframe Desktop.
View and accept outstanding invites to other projects from your dashboard.
A new administrator role is now available for you to assign to your team mates. Delegate that responsibility!
You can now invite loggers to your team. They only have access to the logging area of your project, where they can work on footage that has been sent for logging by one of your team members.
You can now create download connections in the Aframe Desktop app. This will automatically download all media from a collection on Aframe to your local machine. Set it up once and it'll pull down new media as it gets added.
Aframe gets a redesign. We have a lot of exciting stuff coming down the pipe and the old design, that's been with us almost since the beginning, was becoming more of a hindrance than a help as we try to fit everything in. The new design should be simpler, faster and more flexible - both for you on different displays and devices, and us - adding to and tweaking our product. Onwards!
