SS14 William Okpo
William Okpo is a women’s wear collection designed by sisters Darlene and Lizzy Okpo. A nurtured love for fashion and creativity brought about the birth of their collection, which is named after their father. The Okpo sisters wish to illustrate the unique aesthetic that results from the juxtaposition of the immigrant’s sense of style against American cultural sensibilities, offering the modern feminine designs with touches of masculine elements. William Okpo is for women who celebrate their cultivated sense of style.

Ajepomaa Gallery (www.ajepomaagallerygh.com) is a Ghanaian label by a young amazing designer. I had the pleasure of shooting for their new Zoti line which incorporates delicious prints in pastels and the perfect mix of fabrics and patterns.
African designers are really doing it. I’m so proud!

Inside EXODUS GOODS.
There are some places you don’t have to set foot in to know are beautiful.
Nestled in New Orleans’ French Quarter, this concept boutique stocked with unique and colourful goods, and a charming interior that looks tactfully unfinished, is the brain child of designer sisters Lizzy and Darlene Okpo and fellow creative Armina Mussa.

STREETCHIEF Lookbook Pre-Fall 2014: “Area Boys Collection”.
Whilst many of us are familiar with Kente fabric being used in contemporary fashion, no one does it quite like STREETCHIEF. For their latest collection, the menswear fashion brand have once again found ways to incorporate Kente-inspired prints into street wear garments - from button-up shirts to white-rimmed vests.

KISUA launches latest Fall 2014 collection: KISUA Hariri.
Patterns, prints and loose fitting tomboy silhouettes take center stage in KISUA’s latest collection. The debut fall collection, Hariri (meaning ‘edit’ in Swahili) offers a streamlined, modern approach to effortless dressing. The range of statement pieces is for the spirited, artistic woman who demands a wardrobe that allows her to express herself freely.
KISUA Hariri takes its inspiration from Burundi-born artist Serge Alain Nitegeka whose immersive installations confront migration through an exploration of form and space. KISUA Hariri has translated this into a dialogue between art, fashion and architecture to create a range of subversive, joyful womenswear.
