Every day I see a headline about a Black person dying. Every day I see how our lives continue to be discarded, as if our existence on this planet doesn’t matter. It breaks my heart. Who wants to live in a world that values a BOTTLE OF WATER over HUMAN LIFE??? A BOTTLE OF WATER over a BLACK CHILDS LIFE? I’m sick of this.

I’m sick of people acting like this shit is okay when it’s not. I’m sick of people of ALL races using Black people when it’s convenient for them, and when the time comes to work against a system that tells everyone over and over again that our lives are expendable, a system based upon genocide, exploitation, etc. you mfs are nowhere to be found. How many Black mothers need to outlive their children for you animals to understand? How many tears can we cry for you animals to realize that your lack of empathy and morality is apart of the reason why the cycle of suffering, racism, misogyny, discrimination, etc. will continue so long as you continue to choose it over HUMAN LIFE.

BLACK CHILDREN DESERVE TO LIVE. BLACK TEENAGERS DESERVE TO LIVE. BLACK WOMEN DESERVE TO LIVE. BLACK PEOPLE WHO DONT FIT YOUR STEREOTYPE DESERVE TO LIVE. BLACK TRANS PEOPLE DESERVE TO LIVE. BLACK PEOPLE DESERVE TO LIVE.

As someone who cannot rlly categorize my creative practice, we been rlly struggling with presenting our many faces :(

Especially with visual art, there are some images I have learnt to guard with my whole heArt.

Now especially as an alchemist, l've been asking myself less what I want from an image, and more: what does the image want? what does it need? what wishes to be revealed, transformed, protected, obscured, or remembered?

This season especially - I am trying my best to listen.

Becoming a parent is optional but being kind to children is never optional. You don't have to have kids but everyone has a duty to society to treat children with the same basic level of respect you'd treat any other innocent person with no matter what your own personal feelings about parenthood are.
