2017 has certainly been a year of personal and artistic growth. My goal every new year is to draw more and gain more confidence in my artwork. When I look back at the works I posted online, I’m always underwhelmed because I always get so anxious to show things. But in reality I think I have grown more than ever this year.

At the beginning of the year, I really tested my limits with my 2nd year film. Something I learned a lot from but made me question myself as an artist. Now at the end of 2017 I started my first job in animation - something that I really never could have imagined! It’s crazy that I get to meet and work with artists I used to admire in high school, and it’s something that I’ll never take for granted. I hope that my younger self can look at the work I do today and be proud of it - because my present self is proud of it too! I hope I can improve more and more this year and gain even more confidence to do more projects and artwork this year.

My 2nd year film made at CalArts about a mom telling her son a story.

It's been long and tough journey to make this film, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of my peers, the faculty, and of course my family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
