You don’t need to say you’re disabled, physically ill, mentally ill, neurodivergent, working overtime, etc as a reason to not reply to your roleplay partners instantaneously. You don’t need to have any reason for not dropping everything to respond to roleplay partners. This culture of “instant replies” is very new, and it’s also unrealistic. Nobody should be expected to be online and responding 24-7. Even if someone is online on discord, Skype, Wire, etc, don’t expect them to respond to you immediately. And if you’re on the other side, don’t beat yourself up for not responding to people immediately, for literally any reason!

Give yourself some grace, take a deep breath. It’s ok. People will understand, and if they don’t, then they’re not worth your worry.

Arthur sighed as he walked up to the newspaper stand. He had been feeling pretty down in the dumps. The king of Alantis frowned when he heard his phone go off. He quickly declined the call. The hero had suffering from the blues and staying to himself. This is the first time he's been out since two months ago. "Good morning," he nodded to the woman next to him. The half Atlantaen then bought himself a paper and a candybar.

Peggy had decided to take a walk and tour the neighborhood. She was curious how much things had changed in the last several decades. Thanks to Howard’s shenanigans, she’d been transported nearly seventy years into the future. Howard must have realized what he’d done and set aside money for her, leaving all the pertinent information with Nicholas Fury. She’d met him shortly after realizing where and more importantly, when she was. He’d helped her acclimate, somewhat. But the rest was now up to her.

During her walk she’d stopped and picked up a cup of coffee. Sipping as she walked, absorbing everything, she then stopped at a newsstand to pick up a paper and some magazines. A very tall gentleman with long hair and tattoos stood nearby, and purchased his own paper. He greeted her perfectly pleasantly but Peggy was a spy. She knew there was something a little off in his ‘good morning’ but she wasn’t going to push. She knew better than that. “Good morning,” she replied just as pleasantly.
