(MDZS: XiCheng) Similar in premise to The Beginner’s Guide to Moving On (which has been deleted ;_;) but paced better and with punchier dialogue imo! I love the character voices in the letter writing, there’s a nice balance between the humor and the drama which is what I like best.
Status: Finished! At 110111 words it actually feels like a surprisingly fast read!

(SVSSS: BingLiu) Basically a retelling of the original SVSSS where Liu Qingge becomes Luo Binghe’s Teacher instead. My FAVOURITE SVSSS fic tbh. Because of the perfection of the pacing and the writing. It is not a very light story though it does have a happy end!

(SVSSS: BingLiuShen) EXTREMELY SPICY. But also very cute follows LQG’s slow acceptance of the “feelings”. I am completely unable to read BingQiu now because of the glorious tsundere sexiness that is Acernor’s Liu Qingge, I keep waiting for them to woo LQG instead.
Status: FINISHED! Acernor writes a lot of tasty spicy stuff, my favs are her BingLiu(s) hehe
A War God From Another World by 月氣 (TheUmbraphage)
(SVSSS: Eventual BingLiuShen, currently LiuShen-ish) Liu Qingge is the one transmigrated this time, I LOVE THIS. The character voices feel really IC, and the world-building is really good (i.e authentic). It feels like something MXTX could have written! It’s fairly early in the story but still an extremely entertaining read!
Status: WIP, early in the first act and I’m crying a little because it’s been some time since the last update. But still a good read.

(TGCF: HXxSQX) Post-canon Beauty and the Beast-esque slowburn!!!! Beautifully written, slow, tender and full of healing ;_; I love the catfishes so much.

(TGCF: HXxSQX) Exploration of He Xuan’s and Shi Qingxuan’s relationship from how they might’ve met, to what they might’ve felt for each other. An in-depth character piece, also very spoilery. No healing, mildly spicy, very nice world building and lots of pain.
Status: WIP! But the world setting does feel very authentically Ancient China-ish! I love that!

Laziness Does Not Exist Devon Price
For My Cheng Shang Couple
(this is just a me writing nonsense because of my love for Winter Begonia, it is quite long)
(there might be spoilers- if don’t like spoilers please ignore)
To the people who are still doubting the show and also think they don’t look GOOD enough. Or like IDOL-looking enough
I MUST BE BLIND THEN.
Shang Xirui is the most ADORABLE character I have ever seen. I rarely compliment characters but my man Yin Zheng deliver us our now penguin diva.
Cheng Fengtai, how can someone say he ain’t good looking? this sugar daddy is the suavest one I’ve seen, full of charm and also so sharp. I am impressed by Huang Xiaoming’s portrayal of this protective bear.
The Cheng Shang couple, I am telling you now, showed how the relationship blossoms into an unbreakable, beyond-the-blood-relations, “soulmate”.
And this drama shows more than what they speak of. Like a lot more. You have to watch and savor the moments. I didn’t skip any at all. I LOVED all the characters (even the bad ones) because it all directs to Shang Xirui and Cheng Fengtai.
The relationship of Cheng Shang is the MOST CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. And their moments (they have a LOT) showed security, comfort, and understanding. To be honest, I felt that it is also so mature. They don’t even have to say “I love you” at this point (though I want them to T.T). Their actions explains A LOT. As Cheng Fengtai said about Yu Qing, “It can be seen in their eyes”
I was like “Dude are you also talking about yourself?” lol
And let me tell ya, he would literally arrange everything for Shang Xirui.
He would not hesitate at all once it involves Shang Xirui. He becomes the anchor and the man behind Xirui as Xirui leads in opera. As I watched, I know Cheng Fengtai is a businessman with a busy schedule, but man I am amazed because despite of this, he still had time for Shang Xirui and their little dates.
Cheng Fengtai is no ordinary businessman, and at first I was scared of him because I was thinking “This man will not just give in to anybody, there always must be something he must get in return”. HOWEVER,
Him towards Shang Xirui is different. He protects him. He gives literally everything, arranges Xirui’s needs, and my goodness Fengtai remembers the little things involving Xirui (from the cookies to his favorite pork trotter)!
Man and then I remember that episode when Er nainai put on new earrings to see if Fengtai can tell the difference but he fails (I laughed at that episode sorry).
On the other hand, Shang Xirui is impulsive and his perspective of society is different, almost child-like. Yet, he is a genius in the art of opera. His comprehension is beyond what old masters can understand. His innovation in the arts always puts him on the spotlight. He goes beyond and seeks more, however his temper is his constraint. But, Shang Xirui is no coward and he is a man of his word.
His ideas and personality is probably what attracts Cheng Fengtai. It is so contrasting. It is also, I think, what Cheng Fengtai also wants to show but can’t because of the societal boundaries. But, Shang Xirui does not care. Cheng Fengtai even said that a person like Shang Xirui is rare.
like “He has an enriched soul which can’t be compared”
The moment Shang Xirui regards you as his family, he will do anything in his power to literally kill those against you. He really does not care for positions. In his mind, once his loved one is involved, there will be no mercy.
Shang Xirui is selfless.
Note that this loved one is Cheng Fengtai (you will understand at the end of the drama)
Sorry for long writing, it is just something I want to get out, I finished the drama but might write a short for it.
Anyways, this drama is phenomenal. I love everything especially my Cheng Shang couple. This sets the bar higher than before. I can now say that this is on another level. The acting is phenomenal, like I am not even exaggerating. Especially Yin Zheng. Oh my gosh, he is amazing. I am following him now. I can’t believe I just found out about him now.
Yin Zheng deserves an award for this. This is truly a difficult role.
I am so impressed. The cast is spot on. The flow of the story is truly amazing. Kudos to the team for truly wonderful settings. It is 49 episodes, but it seems like I want more. Every episode seems like a movie.
Winter Begonia might reign in 2020. Hopefully this spreads internationally.
Don’t worry about the knives they tell you about.
This couple is something you can’t miss. In addition: they are such a power couple.
This is just a reminder to support the actor, hate on the character. Appreciate the actor work on what they do.
Someone acting a hard complex character must be as much appreciated as a main character too.

i can’t stop thinking about the idea jiang cheng didn’t believe wei wuxian would die when he sent him off the cliff. because wei wuxian clearly is doing some masterminding, he wouldn’t be on the cliff if a fall would kill him. he was shot by that arrow and was fine! it is easy to ignore the desperation in lan wangji’s voice when wei wuxian smiles up at jiang cheng, especially when jiang cheng is so angry and heartbroken.
but wei wuxian smiles, he has been creating the undead, he is powerful, and jiang cheng needs to put an end to this battle. wei wuxian will come back
when he just finds chenqing but no body, that seems to prove it. wei wuxian is somewhere getting strong. he will come back home eventually and he and jiang cheng will fight it out like they do and then they will be good. they can be brothers again.
when there is no sign of wei wuxian, jiang cheng has any demonic cultivators brought to lotus pier. no amount of yelling or threatening will make them suddenly turn into wei wuxian.
wei wuxian was supposed to come back. years past, a decade, and jiang cheng begins to realize. it never fully sinks in because he can’t believe it. it would mean…
