Charlie took his agreement with confidence and made her way towards the windows. After several almost-moments of being seen by roaming figures inside the building, she found one that was unlocked and propped it open. It was a small, horizontal one, making her go belly-first.
There wasn’t much to catch her on the other side but a table.
"Ouch…" she pushed herself up and looked back at Clint. "Your turn. Oh, and watch out for the god damn TABLE." She felt the part of her back that she’d landed on. That will bruise tomorrow. But at least they were inside.
"Why don’t you move it for me?" He suggested as he crossed his arms."I mean it can be tha simple but if you don’t want to make too much noise I get it." Clint crouched and leaped through the small window, barely making it through but avoiding the table."We need a bigger window to escape from next time. Okay?"
"Because I…well, you make a point." Quietly, she peered around the door and into the hallway. There wasn’t anyone around, or so it seemed.
"Alright, so the dick we’re looking for won’t be alone." She turned to Clint and pulled out the knife on her hip. It always made her feel a little safer in her hands. "Here’s the kicker, he could be anywhere in this building. Man, I’m going to kick the shit out of him. Did I tell you what he did?" She began loudly whispering but still tried to keep her voice down.
"Okay so this guy, this dick, I saw him beating the shit out of someone the other day. Whatever, right? Well he saw me and I ran over and told him to stop. Upon hearing that, he shot the guy he was beating up point-blank in the head and blamed me for trying to be a ‘hero’." Charlie remembered the way the helpless guy was looking at her when she ran over. It made her furious. "Let’s go kick some ass. Literally."
"I suggest you be just a bit quieter Charlie." Clint said pulling out an arrow as well as his bow."You never told me." He replied before listening to the story of why he decided to tag along in the first place. As he listened, his grip on the bow became tighter."Alright he's a dick, I'm glad I decided to come and help you out then." He said taking a step forward to look out in the hall."I don't hear any footsteps so either they are guarding every door and staying quiet or no one is in the hallway." Clint whispered as he turned back to face her."What do you wanna do?"
