I think what's made it so hard for f1 to catch and retain my interest this year (disregarding the soullessness of the regs because that horse has literally been beaten into the ground already) is like. the complete lack of a narrative. last year, okay I've grown enough to admit the landoscar narrative was somewhat engaging, especially around jeddah-canada, and oscar was My Losing Dog in that fight so whatever. I'm biased. and then there was the whole terminator-jurassic park-chucky max arc, The Great Comeback That Never Was (broken heart emoji) but there's just no story this year. it's a race weekend so u turn on the TV to watch another round of George Russell, theoretical 2 time champion, get belted by his 19 year old teammate. in the background u have Keeping Up With the Scuderia, waché using the rb22 blueprints as a colour by numbers, audi pimping their drivers out for a hotel ad (was it a hotel ad?), VCARB socmed admin signing arvid and liam up for Ninja Warrior, alex albon in a resident evil game, and mclaren. what is even happening at mclaren this year anyways. cant be much if they're DNFing like every race

The Mediterranean during summer is an absolute blast but also an absolute HAZARD because you get some really gorgeous wind movement that doesn’t make you feel absolutely sweating balls, and the water is absolutely beautiful and the perfect temp that you so get burned because you just have a flow from getting to the sea till you go shower (which is probably post sunset) or eat, sea, lay down, drink whatever, sleep , repeat

Oh and it’s proof that that is the summer life, not wing cooped in an office and staring at a screen and daily stand ups
