Something about Jacobi’s clone in “time to kill” really messes me up. Because, like, after you listen to the episode where you find out that Lovelace isn’t the original Lovelace, we also find out that the clones don’t actually know that they aren’t the original person. The Jacobi clone was completely convinced that he was the original, so when the others left him outside, his last thought was probably that his friends had just made the worst possible mistake they could have made in that situation, that they had left him, the real Jacobi, to die and now they’re all in danger because there is something else that isn’t him on the ship with them. He died thinking that theres this thing that’s taking his place. This is the worse case scenario and there was nothing he could do about it. On the other hand, the real Jacobi, (assuming that the real Jacobi was the one inside the ship the whole time), had to listen to himself die. And i bet that after he finds out about how Lovelace is an alien, he thinks to himself, what if he isn’t the real Jacobi, that the real Jacobi died when they left him outside, and that he is the alien and just doesn’t know it. Because how could he know that? Lovelace didn’t, and he would never have any solid proof that he doesn’t know either. I bet it drives him a bit crazy, if he constantly has that thought going through his head.
I dont know. I think about this quite often.

do eisen and telesphore see colette a certain way and vice versa? like i know i definitely have friends where i'm like, "you're my big/little sibling" or "you're my surrogate parent" or whatever but i also definitely just have friends who are just like. bros. and they don't necessarily have a familial association, so i was wondering which the trio tends to lean toward.
Telesphore thinks of Colette as his emotional support animal. Colette thinks of Telesphore as a guy who would be her boyfriend if he wasn't gay. Eisen and Colette view each other sort of like they're two cats who live in the same house and are always fighting but if you took one of them away overnight the other one would cry until you brought it back.

September 2024 re-release of Our Fair CityÂ

We are going to try an experiment- really doing science, you could say. Our Fair City is going to be re-released!
What? What are you talking about?
The world of audio fiction (and otherwise) has changed a lot since we started making Our Fair City in 2009. Distressingly- the social, political, and artistic themes we were engaging with in the show just keep getting more relevant. We want to bring this show to new listeners- but understand that the long feed and lack of current releases can be a barrier to entry. SO: On August 5th, we’re going to temporarily remove the episodes from the podcast feed. Starting in September 2024 on the existing feed, we are going to release seasons 1 and 2 rapidly in a 30-day period. It’s going to be almost daily. Starting in October, we’ll be releasing episodes weekly. We hope you will be excited to listen along with us as it’s released again!
But I love Our Fair City and I can’t stand to wait to listen to it! What do I do?
