TRANSCRIPT
The truth about Wolf 359 is that Minkowski is 85% of everyone’s impulse control.
There used to be a Wolf 359 incorrect quotes blog back in the day, and while I was in the first flush of obsession, I drew a number of them as little comics. The post this one was based off of came across my dash recently, and @milfbrainrot asked to see the original comic I'd made, which made me want to re-do it, since, y'know, seven-or-eight year old art. So I did!
If you want to see what seven or so years worth of art progress looks like, the original of this is under the cut.
Something I love about Hello From The Hallowoods is the constant subversion of classic horror stories. Frankenstein’s monster is well spoken, polite, has an identity crisis, a family of frankenstein’s monsters, and a ghostly boyfriend. The creature from the black lagoon is the only one who can see the invisible man, and they fall in love. There’s a character with diegetic orchestral horror strings. There’s a vampire called The Countess who’s a lesbian and flirts with the werewolf. There’s a little shop of horrors esque “guy and big hungry plant” pair but the guy is a botanist who raised the plant and the plant is the guy’s mobility because he’s disabled.
Also there’s occasional subversions of apocalypse story tropes. My favorite is Rick Rounds, a riff on your classic apocalypse hero guy, probably named after Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. Rick has everything bad happen to him, and he deserves it every time, and I’m not sure what happens to him later in the show, but where I had left off seemed like a good place for him to die.
Hi Tumblr,
We're looking for more voice actors for our horror fiction podcasts. Does that sound like you? Apply here!
Bloody FM Casting Call Midnight Disease Productions and Bloody FM are looking for actors eighteen years of age or older to expand our rost
Our current call closes on August 27
Who are we? Bloody FM is the podcast arm of Bloody Disgusting. We're the production team behind shows like Mayfair Watchers Society, SCP Archives, Dead Space: Deep Cover, and many more!
We're also the network home to hit fiction shows like Tower 4, Re: Dracula, Scare You To Sleep, and Creepy!
To say we love horror is an understatement!
What is this audition for?
This is our open roster call. For all of our original productions, we primarily cast from our roster. This may include working on shows like The Dead, and SCP Archives, or maybe something totally new and unannounced.
What do I need to prepare?
Just your voice! We've provided sides, and a form to fill out that will ask all the important questions (like "what kind of mic do you use?")
And if you already have a demo reel, that's great! We've left a space where you can provide it alongside your audition.
Doug Eiffel will forever be The Character Ever for me because he's inherently such a screw up, no matter WHO is listening to w359 they will likely relate to him ... we all have our bad days and Eiffel is Living Through Them All
the beauty of Wolf 359 is that it says "everyone deserves a second chance". the tragedy of Wolf 359 is that it also says "but not everyone gets that chance".

Odessa orders pork...
Hearthbound is a folk musical audio drama set across a post-apocalyptic Great Basin. It's a road trip, a queer love story, and a ballad for ecological restoration.
Odessa's just trying to get home to her wife, but along the Loneliest Road in America, she'll encounter strange hosts, stray souls, and echoes of the past she's running from… or running towards.

We really love when Gabriel comes to us and says "hey, I wanna break the form a little bit~"
doing my multi-annual re-listen to the silt verses, and oh my fucking GOD.
i forgot it was CARPENTER who put it into her brother's head that legalizing the faith was unconscionable.
i'm gonna THROW UP. i am WALKING INTO THE RIVER.
Some patreon wolf request from last month :3
its genuinely so exciting whenever audio drama gets featured in a major paper (this time, the seattle times!) but I especially loved talking to Gemma Wilson about how big money may not being pouring into AD anymore, but those that are still making shit are doing it because we love it.
honestly, the last two years I've been more broke than I've been since @thebrightsessions first blew up but I'm feeling even more invigorated about the medium than ever
also a huge shout-out to @luxradium who I'm pretty sure put the seattle times on the scent of AD in the first place!!!
rane's out on stage saying "our prophet is strong and wise and infallible and really good at everything and probably has a six pack idk I haven't checked" and faulkner's sitting there on the throne with the posture of a piece of wet seaweed and probably not a drop of blood left in his body
Hi hi, as that wizard show now is getting an audio book series, just a reminder that there are so many people in the queer space making audio drama for free that’s amazing so please go support those, instead of the terrible wizard woman who’s literally funding to make trans people’s lives worse.
Welp, there goes my notifications. Thanks for sharing all - it's very important now more than ever to support storytelling that isn't the terrible wizard woman and raises and supports queer and trans voices. I can see lots of reccs in the tags and that's amazing!!
If you want to support new audio drama, I highly recommend checking out the below links:
Firstly there's The End is the comprehensive directory for completed audio fiction shows.
There's also the @audiodrama Audio Drama Directory: https://audiodrama.directory/ which includes a lot of shows not yet complete.
In both places you can search tags for what you're looking for!
Otherwise, there are lots of discords (Like The Podcast Book Club @podcast-bookclub you can join to find fans of audio drama who will recommend their favourites and do listening parties together) and there's also r/audiodrama reddit which is also having creators sharing new work and you can see people asking for reccomendations!
I will also add you can also find out about my own podcast, The Holmwood Foundation here: @theholmwoodfoundation which has a trans femme lead and a variety of queer and trans voices throughout the season.
So a lot of the notes on this post are recommending The Magnus Archives, which (while a very much enjoyable show!) as far as I can remember doesn’t actually feature a canon trans main character for the first 200 episodes until its sequel, The Magnus Protocol.
So, while I’m not trying to dissuade anyone from listening to TMA, I also want to add some alternatives for more explicitly trans-led shows:
Thankfully I have a convenient playlist compiled from my book, which name drops a bunch of (exclusively trans-led) audio dramas. The pilot episodes of each show can be found here:
I’m also strongly seconding Fio’s suggestions, ESPECIALLY The Holmwood Foundation, which is only missing from this list because it didn’t exist when the book was written 😅
A lot of creators have compiled trans- or identity-specific playlists on Podchaser, so have a search around and find lists by creators you admire and trust!
I’d also take a look at @boombox-fuckboy’s page, who has already offered SO many tailored recommendations
And there are many MANY more out there so please feel free to add recs of your own!!
Hello I'm trans as hell, listen to my podcasts 💞🏳️⚧️
Monstrous Agonies is included on the playlist above (thank you - especially delighted to be included alongside those other absolute stunners!!) It's a weekly late-night radio advice show for monsters, and includes tons of monstrosity-as-allegories, monstrosity-as-monsters-being-cool-as-hell, and queerness of every flavour. It's complete at three seasons so you've got 111 episodes plus bonus eps ready for your binge-listening pleasure.
Travelling Light is my current show - an interactive science fantasy about celebrating difference! It's about a traveller setting out to explore the galaxy and report back to their community at home on the people they meet and the cultures they encounter. It's queer and cosy, perfect for fans of Becky Chambers 🚀✨
Both of these are (with the exception of a couple of special eps of MA) single voice, with limited sound design and episodes of about 15-20 minutes. Little munchable audio morsels!
