I feel most at peace in the ocean, under the water. When I dive in I wish I wasn’t confined by the air and could stay down beneath the calm waves forever. The light is dim and the sound is muffled and I feel truly at peace for the only time ever. Maybe I’m autistic, or maybe I’m just a merfolk forced to be human.
