When she finally returned his gaze he couldn't help but smile a little bit at how red her face was. It always found her irresistibly cute but once she started getting all shy and embarrassed it was an overload for him. As she wrapped her arms around him he could feel her shaking slightly, even more so once she placed her head against him. He was resisting the urge to pull an "aww baby it's going to be ok" type of thing because he knew it would just blow up in his face...Xion wasn't usually the type of person to be accepting to those kind of comments. He choose to just stand there quitely with her, eventually wrapping his arms around her as well.

He was expecting her usual routine of trying to tell him why she was no good for him and why he shouldn't even bother with her. Whenever he heard her say these things he really hurt him deep down. He hated hearing her talk about herself that way. As he had already told her hundreds of times and would tell her a thousand times more, her past didn't bother him. It was what she did now, and the fact she was trying to overcome everything with the best of her ability he was fine with that and was there for her if she needed him.

When she broke the silence he was slightly surprised at the two words she was able to say. "Thank you? Thank me for what? My love? Such silliness. Of course I love you back gah..." he thought to himself silently. Not sure what to really say himself he just held her even closer to him, almost as if he was afraid if he didn't she'd disappear or fly off away from him.

His unamused face was very obvious right now, noticing the wine sitting next to her as she just curled up next to Moose. While she seemed to think it was funny he didn't at all. Though he was more annoyed by the fact she was sitting around drinking like she had been a lot lately. He himself had actually cut down on all forms of alcohol recently, a surprise to all that knew him. When she did finally get up and start walking towards him, bottle in hand, his annoyance grew a little bit more since she was making it obvious that she was putting on an act, nowhere near actually drunk.

Eyes watching the bottle as it was waved in his face, he sighed heavily. "No...I don't want-" he started before he was dragged back towards the couch. His brow furrowed as he tried to figure out what in the world she was up to. Was she trying to tell him she had destroyed another one of his household appliances or something? If that was the case he'd just go out and replace it in the morning, not in the mood for going out for something like a microwave or a toaster. As she walked over towards the window and picked up a cigarette she had obviously left there his eyebrow shot up, wondering what could be making her so nervous at the moment that it required a cigarette to reveal it to him.

She walked back over and just kind of stood there staring at him, adding to his confusion as seconds went by. He blinked several times as she started talking about how she cared for him. Of course he knew that...it was made clear to him long ago how she felt. What was going on? "Of course I know tha-" he had started speaking before she had finished but stopped when she had paused herself, her hand in her pocket. He was beyond confused at this point as he noticed her face turning red. His eyes grew wide and his mouth hung open when she spoke again and revealed to him the promise ring in her hand.

He wasn't sure what to say at the moment, and just stared at it resting in her hand. His mind was a total mess at the moment, but he was happy, just not sure how to react correctly to this. He slowly reached over to take it, noticing his hand was shaking slightly. After staring at it for a few more seconds he slowly slid it onto his finger. Holding out his hand he looked at it and smiled before standing up. "H-hey...look at me," he said softly. "I promise to love you...and only you...never anyone else." He just stood there waiting for her to look back up at him.

A grumble escaped his lips as his place was finally coming into view. Unfortunately he had been caught behind a traffic jam after some idiot decided to not use his turn signal and was slammed into by another car. "...where did these people get their licenses...a cereal box or something?" Shaking his head he quickly whipped his car into the parking lot. Sea-green eyes since apparently they aren't teal haha scanned the area as he looked to make sure nobody had taken his preferred spot. Given the mood he was in they'd most likely have a smashed windshield waiting for them the next time they walked to their car. Luckily nobody had decided to today, a loud "Hmph" being his only response as he remembered a few days before when some old lady had decided to park there. After parking and locking the door about twenty times like always he rushed to the door, knowing most likely someone was just laying there waiting for him to get home.

Before he even got there though he heard Bart barking his little head off as always. He'd never be able to sneak home thanks to that little guy, but there was never a reason for him to be out late without Xion with him as well anyway. Sighing heavily he walked in and was almost knocked back out the door as the little dog flew at him like he usually did. "Agh...seriously Bart must you always do this? Gah..." Jumping around Bart he closed the door and dropped his stuff on the floor, looking over at the couch where he knew blue eyes had been locked onto him since he walked in. "You just going to sit there or are you going to come welcome me home?" He laughed...not knowing for sure what kind of response she was going to give him.
