If I had a nickel for every time Alix Wilton Regan played a character in a video game who had horrible taste in men, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

if you saw someone wearing this at Comic Con (the “A” would be a “T”), would you know who they were cosplaying as?
Yes
No
This is important for me to know lol
In regard to Solavellan disappointment regarding Mythal. Dragon Age: The Veilguard spoilers (ONLY regarding the Lighthouse murals, so if you haven’t finished but have seen all the murals like me, it’s safe) ahead:
So I’ve been noticing a number of people saying DATV basically cucked Solasmancers the entire game, but I think that A. It’s weird to say because it would have been a PAST relationship so there’d be no cheating and B. Solas and Mythal were not lovers.
Firstly, I think people really underestimate Bellara saying the ancient elves were extremely emotional creatures and that a word like “love” didn’t necessarily mean romantic love for them. Yeah, the Dalish got a lot wrong, but spirits are literally beings MADE of emotion. I imagine they feel in much different and stronger ways than we do, and perhaps even in more black and white ways than we do.
But beyond that, what is important to remember is that Solas was likely Mythal’s slave at one point. “He did not want a body. But she asked him to come. He left a scar when he burned her off his face.” So we know for a fact that the first part definitely refers to Mythal telling Solas to take a body. Which means the second part is also definitely about the two of them. “…he burned her off his face.” What does that likely mean? He removed his vallaslin from his face—specifically, his Mythal vallaslin. And what did vallaslin originally mean?
Solas was literally Mythal’s slave. He says the Evanuris are not gods, he even says this in flashbacks, but Solas wasn’t completely different than the elves who worshiped the Evanuris because they were powerful and brainwashed. Solas worshiped Mythal, even if not in the same way other ancient elves worshiped the Evanuris. Mythal could do no wrong in Solas’s eyes, she was perfect. And even when she wasn’t perfect and she did things he did not approve of, he still worshiped her because she was, in a way, his goddess. Solas was basically brainwashed. We say it’s a friendship or a romance or whatever we believe, but Solas was once her literal slave. Since the very beginning, he and Mythal have been on completely unequal footing.
And more than all of this, we have the Solas romance as what I think is huge proof that he and Mythal were not lovers. Sure, he says “it’s been some time” when they start their relationship, so maybe he did have some one-sided feelings for her (whether or not he loved her, you are not convincing me they had a romantic relationship), or maybe he was just talking about making himself vulnerable or revealing himself to someone. But look at how he acted with Lavellan. Then look at how he acted with Flemeth at the end and how he spoke of her in Trespasser. Even at the end, when she, having evolved into Flemeth, seemed to care about him as more of a friend than a slave, he was not on equal footing. He still worshiped her, as implied by his mural in which he has Flemythal speak in Mythal’s original voice and degrade him instead of the affectionate goodbye they gave each other.
Solas loved Mythal, imo in a non-romantic way. And Solas loves Lavellan. But whatever way you believe he loved Mythal, his love with her was toxic, and it was never equal. Mythal was forever his goddess, and he—to an extent—was forever her slave, despite destroying the markings on his face that marked him as such. Solas worshiped Mythal, and even after millennia of their relationship evolving into something more akin to a normal friendship, he still ultimately loved her like you’d love an idea or a dream. He loves Lavellan like a man loves a woman.
TLDR: Solas needs therapy and an in-depth explanation of imbalanced power dynamics.
Finished the game; got the fragment of Mythal to cooperate.
"I release you from your servitude."
Yep. I rest my case.

Keep in mind that the series takes place in 2017. She would have been doing this shit for nine years by this point lol
I finally finished DATV and got the secret post-credit scene and now I’m just pissed that all the people who hated on this awesome game to an insane extent have prevented me from getting closure on that mind blowing reveal.
People saying Taash is poorly written and unrealistic nonbinary representation and then there's my nonbinary binary ass whose mother has deadnamed and misgendered them for years over here trying not to tear up when Shathaan addresses Taash as "them"
Finally watched Project Hail Mary a few days ago and decided to look up fandom stuff on tumblr. I was not expecting this content lol
In one day, Gangle…
was physically and mentally tortured by Caine
found out she could never leave the Circus
found out she was actually a brain scan and not the original Gangle
had the worst identity crisis known to man
basically watched someone turn into a monster
Guys, I’d be sobbing, too.
Thank you to the part of the fandom that is just so focused on the happy than other people's interpretations and getting aggro at those who disagree that they made an unartistic person as myself want to give a go at transfem Jax fanart lol.perhaps another day, when I find a sketchbook.
Jax 100% caused Ribbit to abstract, yes, but I just do not agree with all the people saying he caused Kaufmo to abstract as well.
Kaufmo did not abstract because he was lonely. His room was covered in scribblings about an exit. Caine says himself that he created the exit door because people kept wanting an exit. Caine gave Kaufmo false hope, and Kaufmo snapped from not being able to find a way out despite having seen a literal exit.
Call Jax out for Ribbit all you want. I agree. But there just isn't anything to suggest Kaufmo was also because of Jax.
no spoilers! just bridging the gap between the movie promos

Wrote a post about Jax as trans rep then got a message telling me I'm not a real woman, and I'm just here like, "...Thank you?"
Whether you believe Jax is trans or not, the fact that there are fans who believe it brought us this absolute gem, and for that, I think we should all be grateful.
I guess I get why they’re saying it, but I don’t know if I really agree with the people say “transfem Jax is/would be bad trans representation because Jax is a horrible person.” And it’s like yeah, I get that. But in addition to the fact that Jax is supposed to be “the worst possible scenario” for Goose (which I interpreted as her never accepting herself and coming out). We’re not supposed to look at Jax and think trauma stemming from childhood abuse, emotional abuse, emotional incest, etc. and self-hatred/insecurities make it okay to abuse people. Jax’s trauma will never be an excuse.
And there isn’t only one trans person. We have Zooble, who healthily goes through their journey as a nonbinary individual and very importantly, calls OUT Jax’s abusive behavior and finds it completely unacceptable. We have two people who went through two different journeys and show two different possible outcomes.
Of course, I’m not saying you can’t think it’s awful rep. Your opinion is completely valid. I just wanted to explain why I don’t necessarily agree. I personally like seeing two people handling their gender identity in two different ways and how that leads them to two different places.
this is how i picture the fortnite version of pomni
My brother: What if Caine just turns down the brightness for Kinger so that he can always be sane?
Me:
Friend gifted me their off-brand Pomni on opening day when I arrived at their house to rewatch every episode before we went to the theater later that night.
She looks so distressed and weird. I love her.
