Still, right now it's critical for us as fans to make our position VERY clear. If haters can be loud and annoying in their hate, we can be loud an annoying in our love for our LIs too. Also, there are many CN girls that sympathize with Valko, and they will soon join us in this.

What they do when you get cancelled as the new love interest in their favorite otome game

Crashes out so bad. He actually crashes out and starts raging. Will start petitions online to get you back and will MAKE people sign them. Even the ones that weren't particularly interested in your release. Sends emails after emails to the game company to not do this to you. Writes in the survey how shallow they are for cancelling you. That's all he could do right? Is what you thought. This man will show up at the game company with a bunch of other players. If that doesn't work he will get a hacker and hack in the game server and leak your release. He's not giving up on you.

Rafayel

Sulks in his bathtub the first time he heard the news of your cancellation. Starts painting you and won't stop. You basically become his original character now and you're in every one of his paintings. “Didn't he paint this same maiden in the last painting?” “Doesn't this painting look a lot similar to last ones?” Murmurs spread around the exhibition and Thomas starts panicking. But he won't stop. This is to send a message that if they're going to cancel you he's going to keep bringing you back even at the cost of his own career, about which he could care less.

Zayne

He's the dawnbreaker, the foreseer and Dr. Zayne. You best believe that he will somehow find a way to you and bring himself in your game and become your canon love interest. Problem solved

Nero 2.0 Will start a blog with your name and will defend you from the haters. Will get Isaiah and Jeremiah with him into this, though they do it for the fun. Isaiah absolutely rages at others. “If you're so keen on getting a character deleted because you don't like it, you should also consider getting yourself deleted because I don't like you.” Also replies to another comment saying they're gonna leave the game if you don't get cancelled with “Good. Don't bother coming back.” He gets so bummed out, he was saving diamonds in game for you and got a lot of savings for your upcoming merch and stuff. It's alright, he gets it all custom made.

Buys the company and releases you himself.

You're stuck in the same spot. Looking out at the large floor to ceiling window of your living room as rain hits the glass pane, blurring the view of you prestinely manicured lawn.

It doesn't feel like your life. The news is still far too fresh. So all you can do, is stand and watch the rain pretending like your eyes don't burn and your throat doesn't have an uncomfortable lump stuck in it.

Xavier is the first one to finally approach you. He doesn't say anything, he simply stands next to you watching that same spot like it will borrow him the words he needs to make it all go away for you. Silence is all he gets back. So he reaches for your hand and squeezes. And your eyes become misty as you squeeze back.

"Sweetie," Sylus’s voice lands before his warm hand on your shoulder does. Your head shakes no as a reflex. No you don't want to look at either, no you can't look away, no it's not true but...

Rafayel’s arms wrap around you from behind and that's what does you in. No sound escapes your lips but your tears flow freely now. He rests his face in top of your head.

"It's gonna be okay cutie. Just let it out."

Sylus wipes the streaks from your face again and again. You're not sure how long the three of you stand like this. It could be minutes. It could be an hour.

"Come on," Xavier tugs your hand and leads you slowly away from the window.

Caleb is poking the logs in the fireplace and Zayne is already sitting on one of the armchairs, when he opens his arms you immediately settle on his lap.

The others sit down around the flame closeby.

"He always made the best steaks," Xavier says quietly and everyone nods along in agreement.

"He gave awesome cuddles too. You know, when he wasn't trying to use me like a dumbell for his stupid jock exercises," Rafayel adds in, his voice nearly cracking with grief.

"He always came with a plate of treats whenever I was stressed from one of my work cases. He could always sense it from the other side of the house," Zayne says quietly, a small barely there sad smile ghosting his lips.

"I'm gonna miss him and Caleb always play fighting," you sniff softly.

"Yeah... But I always won," Caleb chuckles weakly, picking at the rug as the memory plays fresh in his mind.

"That's because you cheated by using your evol," Sylus says, moving closer on the floor to the chair so he can rest his head on Zayne’s knee.

"I did not," Caleb immediately folds his arms defensively.

"Yes you did," you all chime in making him sigh.

"Fine. I cheated all the time. And he totally let me. That big lovable dummy."

"I'm gonna miss his tail wagging excitedly everytime we got into a cuddle pile," a fresh tear forms but Zayne brushes it off with a thumb before it can make its way down your cheek.

"Or how he'd nuzzle everyone to get his scent all over us."

The rest of the night you get to exchange stories about him and laugh at some memories. The night progresses and in the early hours, almost everyone is asleep after Caleb came back with pillows and blankets to form a nest. Him, Rafayel and Xavier whose in

the middle are already out cold.

Zayne fell asleep still holding onto you keeping you tucked into him. It's just you and the very sleep deprived and eternally nocturnal Onychinus leader.

"Sylus, do you think Valko is in a better place?"

He lets out a long exhale, looking out at the window, the rain having cleared up to reveal a partially cloudy pitch black sky and a shiny round white moon in the distance.

"If heaven was real, then I think he would definitely be there. It's the only place suitable for a wolf like him."

"Yeah... me too."

sorry, but i can’t really take comfort in that right now.

i love sylus with my whole chest, but this setup has made me seriously distrust infold. a november timeline means very little if the game itself now feels unstable.

do i want sylus content? obviously. do i want half-written lore, rushed damage control, or future storylines shaped by whoever complains the loudest? absolutely not.

sylus deserves better than that too.

what do you think about the reasoning they gave for valko being hated on and dropped because

1. valko was a hodgepodge conglomeration of the 5 li's with no originality (looks, mannerisms, etc)

2. there was no prior introduction to even a hint of him except for that one singular passing line in a underworld where his company was mentioned in collaboration with ever

3. that he looked just like infold ceo??? and his name was similar too?

4. they said like, one of the promotional messages in valko's intro vid alluded to him being gay and that mc was his gf to hide that fact or whatever

5. i heard one of the higher ups was gay or sth and valko was just his type or sum shit

Ridiculous when you consider that all the li's share these movements because they're all 3d models and therefore can only really move in certain ways anyways. This was also based on like one trailer. We have yet to see a single card of him or any of his kindleds in their entirety

We've always known there would be 6. There's 6 stellas, and the OG3 each need a foil. Everyone knew the next one would be Raf's foil. Hell, talks of it being Sutherland have been around for months. Again, there were probably more hints that would have been revealed. For example, there's a scene in the Main story where MC is following a man and feels a "metal dagger like sensation" that prevents her from following him. Sounds like metal evol to me

Maybe TMI but as i'm uninstalling the game, I overhear my mom from the other room, totally unprompted, starting to blast THIS particular song on repeat

I never deemed myself being super prone to parasocial relationships, since I find it hard to associate with any fictional character whatsoever, but this kinda made me sob a little.

This fucking song, and the fact that out of all the possible banners it's the Casablanka-themed story that waves me goodbye, it's like a brick to the face

You know, I might need to take a break from the game, to say the least. I'm uninstalling it for now, but i'll keep in touch with the news. Infold can roll their free little wishes into tiny tubes, one per day. I believe that will ease the process of shoving them up their ass.

Still, no matter how angry and sad i am at the company, i deeply respect the creative team and everyone who is behind the process of making our LIs so alive. I'd like to keep making content for LADS as I genuinely love all 6 boys and i still have too many ideas involving them.

Despite all the shitshow that is going on and all the obvious signs that it's not going to get better, i still have the faintest hope that it is still possible to save the game. For now, i'm just choosing to wait for that to happen from afar. Sending all my love to everyone who grieves for this game just like me.

Like genuinely, CN side is so blatantly racist, homophobic, and dismissive of GS all the time, and now even lookist as a cherry on top??

I can write an essay on how ironic it is to be picking apart the appearance of a character whose sole purpose is to make you feel loved and cherished, regardless of how you look. But hey, Valko isn't real so we don't have to worry about his feelings, whatever.

Still, players who happen to like Valko and end up being harassed for that are very real, Valko's VAs who got death threats and in in the end lost their jobs are very, very real. And with their actions, Infold just made it clear all that is okay to them! In this fandom bullies get what they want, as long as they are loud and insufferable enough.

My expectations weren't high given the way Infold usually handles things, but holy shit is this a rock bottom
