2 months of doing a no mow lawn in the back yard and the native wildflowers are popping up so pretty. I plan on planting a few more pines and maybe some fruit trees out there along with maybe a couple of big flowers or bushes and making it look really wild and beautiful.
A little late but since Jason is finally out I can post this again

Too hot for soup? Nonsense, every season is soup season! Had some veggie scraps I made broth with and didn’t want these onions to go bad so I made chicken and green onion soup

I just saw in the news that three more people have died this month at the Grand Canyon. It is very sad. The warnings are posted at all the trails about the dangers of heat stroke in the inner canyon. It could be 80 degrees when you set off from the rim, but at the bottom it could be 116. Also, what goes down must come back up. The climb out in the middle of the day kills. Know your limits. Better yet, the smart hiker will travel at night. Hiking in the Grand Canyon under the moonlight is one of the best experiences you could have. Please be safe.
Hikers going down Bright Angel Trail at about 2am. Also, check out the Bright Angel Fault.
