Update on the swap AU‼️‼️

I started on the illustrations for chapter two a while ago, but I can’t get them right. I realized that I don’t draw ppl in different angles often so it’s hard to keep the anatomy and details consistent.

This made me realize that I might have to change the art style or the designs or both. I feel like a simpler style would help with the detail/anatomy problem. While changing designs would make Avery and Derek more fun to draw.

For now I am just doodling ideas out tho. Tbh idk if I got art block or not 😭😭. I lwk realized tho that my versions of Derek and Avery are kinda ruby and sapphire coated, so I’m thinking abt leaning into that! :oo

Hi, I’m Avery =D! I recently stumbled into this weird mine in my world.

So…. I chose to explore it with my trusty dusty pickaxe, which admittedly got me pretty far!

Eventually tho, I found this gate where AN ANCIENT DEITY or smth like that.. CURSED ME.

It hurts a LOT to think about it right now… but I believe it wants to hurt this guy named Derek.

All I can really do right now is try to find a way to stop this thing from hurting anyone else… or something like that.

Idk I was never really good at starting things.

Small notes: to whoever read this hi, thanks for your time :D! This is my first time writing anything that isn’t an essay lol. I really want to get better tho so I started this au to try to put more ideas out there and stay motivated to write more. Because this is my first time writing something tho please try to keep expectations low!! If you like the idea of a swap AU for sfawtde/dawtde but don’t like my take on it I encourage you to make your own :DD I love seeing stuff from this fandom <3

I don’t know how many chapters I’ll make but I have plans for a good bit of the story!

More additions to the sfawtde swap AU

Figuring out the lore rn muehehehe

Rn the broad strokes are that:

the Lord in Blue was trapped in the game becoming sorrowful due to being unable to experience the beauty of humanity. (He leans more towards being like blue diamond)

Avery is the first one to come across the puzzles, brute forcing his way to the gates and being afflicted with infinite knowledge.

The knowledge does work differently though, as it made to make him feel sorrow over being unable to experience the infinite beauty of the universe. Therefore rather than sharp headaches he feels intense sorrow and is unable to stop crying, with it worsening when he looks away from the screen.

The infinite knowledge also doesn’t help him inside the gates so he gets stuck really early into them….

I’m still figuring out more stuff and might make more art of some of the story moments I have in my head :))

Might draw them more, might be a one off but a swap au has been living in my head rent free. Not personality swap tho. More a swap where D3rlord is the vessel and Avery is the cursed one (with Avery stubbing upon the king first). Throwing this out there tho in case ppl wanna mess w it ^^
