      She had often worked alone, not many people liked her methods, not that they were exactly by the book. But it had gotten the work done so Vala had always been one to stick to her guns. This was her first interaction with the FBI where she wasn’t someone they were saving, though she was sure the Agent didn’t need nor want to hear about that. “Well, hopefully I can leave a good impression.” She replied with a smirk before nodding. “Yeap, come on, I’ll show you what I’ve got so far.”
        ❝Likewise.❞ Mike going off the assumption this is her first time working alongside an FBI agent. Though he could be wrong. Vala never really said anything either way. Regardless, he still has every intention of getting along with his new partner. As long as she’s nothing like some of the crooked cops he’s come to know in the past they should be good. ❝Lead the way,❞ he says with a smile as he follows behind her. Very little was given to the agent in regards to the case. So this is almost like step number one for him. Gathering all the evidence and information and see where it leads them.

        Mike walks into her workplace all the while knowing his company will not be welcomed with opened arms. So the reaction he receives from Agnes is anticipated more than anything else. He also knew better than to arrive here flashing his FBI badge. Already drawing enough unwanted attention from stray eyes when he entered the building, coming to a stop beside her desk. ❝I was hoping we could talk.❞ He pauses, his gaze refusing to leave her as if he’s expecting her to try something right then and there. ❝In private.❞
