Dear Taylor,

Your 30+ fans still love you. We are just having a hard time taking care of our babies, jobs, and parents during this crisis. Just because we cannot post or reach out to you daily (or even monthly!) I want you to know we are still here. You’re still present in our lives by providing soundtracks in the kitchen as we cook and dance for our littles to distract them from the anxiety. You’re there in the mini van as we drive around to nowhere just so we can escape the house and feel normal for a half hour. You’re there at night as my son asks to watch your AMA performance  repeatedly. So we may not be making gifs, tweeting, or posting a lot, but we’re here. Making sure that during this time, music from an strong woman is still important and will always be important.

And here I am again, 1000 things to do for Christmas and work and home, tired beyond words, waiting for a Taylor Swift Christmas song. She’s making us feel like kids waiting for Santa all over again.

The fact that Taylor praised another woman during her acceptance speech and brought other women on stage during her performance on a night when she’s being honored speaks volumes about her character and humbleness.

Tonight my son was honored at Children’s hospital benfit for overcoming his medical obstacles. He, along with 11 other kids were asked to perform songs at the benefit. Three kids chose Taylor Swift songs. ( one of those three being my Jojo with Shake It Off.) I couldn’t help but think of how three kids out of 12 chose to perform her songs because they were special to them or gave them strength through hard times. These kids overcame incredible obstacles and found inspiration through her music. Thank you Taylor for continuing to provide a postive backdrop for so many wonderful kids. @taylorswift @taylornation

This is the day of the Lover video premier. My son it completely obsessed with Taylor and wanted to “dance like Taylor” right after we watched it together.
