REFLECTION ABOUT GOT7’S COMEBACK

Hello baby birds! I know it has been a long time since I last posted and I’m so sorry about it, I’ve been extremely busy with college and life in general and couldn’t find time to post anything here. But… good news: I’m finally free and I plan on finishing my ‘Memory Lane’ series, but first I need to address some things regarding this comeback that I’m not so happy about.

1. GOT7’s ‘Eclipse’ MV views in the first 24h. It’s no secret that we only got 6’5M views for Eclipse in the first 24h after its release (less than the views for ‘Miracle’ and ‘Focus On Me’ – JUS2 subunit). Now, I don’t really know who we should blame for this: YouTube or ourselves? While streaming the MV I noticed that the views were frozen for approximately 1h whole hour, and the worst part of all is that we never got those views back. I was so mad at YouTube for doing us dirty when we were putting all of our best efforts there for the boys (we had a great start, 500.000 views in just 1h after the release); But another thing I also noticed was that our streaming party didn’t really work, it was like ahgases were not working together to reach our 15M goal. It almost felt like we weren’t there, and that makes me sad because we almost got the same result as we did with ‘Look’ (6M views). I really had big hopes of breaking Lullaby’s record (10M in the first 24h), but it seems like we are going backwards instead of forward. This made me feel like the fandom decreased instead of growing - something that is not true because our fandom got bigger after the world tour. Now, like I said before, I don’t know if we should blame YouTube for this or ourselves. I honestly think it’s a combination of both, YouTube really did us dirty but we should have tried harder for our boys. (Funny thing: our views in the first 24h were really low but we managed to reach 30M views in just 5 days, beating our own record…).

2. Melon issue. This is something I talked about in my ‘Lullaby Comeback Reflection’ post, and I still think the same thing. I don’t know why Melon hates us, but they do. On the first day (20/05), we debuted at number 52, and just went downhill from there reaching the 71st place. Then, on the second day (21/05), it seemed like we went up for a bit and managed to reach the 45th position, then we dropped to 55 and from there we charted 100 and eventually disappeared from the chart. On the third day (22/05), we appeared again at number 90 only to drop to the 91st place, and then go up to 75. Finally, on the fourth day (23/05), we charted the 82nd place and after that we disappeared from the chart. As you can see our results are not good enough, ‘Eclipse’ charted really low compared to other songs. On top of that, we only charted for four days before completely disappearing from the Melon chart. I’m positive this is Melon’s doing, they did us dirty in our last comeback too and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are supressing our listeners and sabotaging our streaming party. I’m so sorry for the boys because they worked really hard for this, but their efforts are still not recognised in Korean charts (specially Melon).

3. Timing. This is a really important point. We have to be honest and admit that GOT7’s comeback came in the worst time ever. First of all, it was scheduled shortly after Bambam’s ‘Black Feather Tour’ in Thailand, Jackson’s birthday fan meeting in China and JUS2 debut and tour. Many ahgases spent a lot of money buying the new subunit albums and tickets for all the shows. Also, we have the world tour just around the corner, so it makes sense that many ahgases prefer saving their money to buy tickets for the tour instead of buying the new albums. On top of that, we can’t forget that the majority of the fandom are teenagers and young adults that have final exams around this time of the year (myself included, the day of the comeback I had my first final exam in college). This obviously made the fandom focus on other things that were by far more important to us than the comeback (sad but true).

4. Sales – Album stock. This is closely related to the last point. Because of the timing the comeback was scheduled, our sales weren’t good either. On the first day, we sold 62,002 copies (our best result ever), but throughout the week we only managed to sell 214.125 copies (not good enough to win on music shows). Now, this has to do with the lack of stock: for some reason there weren’t enough albums and a lot of ahgases had to wait until Wednesday to be able to purchase them (that’s a whole day lost there, thanks for nothing JYP…). I don’t understand why this happened, especially if we take into account that GOT7 is the best album-seller under JYP Entertainment (‘Eyes On You’ sold 223.844 copies in the first week, the best-selling album under the company). They should have been more prepared and have stock ready knowing that even though GOT7 are not digital monsters, the rock with album sales.

5. Music shows. We don’t have to be geniuses to know that with our bad charting and lower sales, we have very few options of winning with ‘Eclipse’, even if we do well with MV views. In music programs, they give more importance to digital sales than physical album sales, and since we are not even charting anymore (in most charts), I am going to be honest here and say that I don’t think we are going to win anything (‘You Are’ 2.0). My thoughts are based -specially- after today’s Show Champion: we were nominated but didn’t win. Usually the time to bring trophies home is during the first week after the comeback was released (or the second week of promotions), after the first week winning is really hard. But based on our horrible start and everything that happened last week, I don’t think we are going to get any trophy with this comeback (just my opinion, I could still be wrong).

6. JYP Division 2 - Promotions. This is something that has to do with this comeback, but also something that I have been accumulating for months now. The way Division 2 handles and promotes GOT7 is pure shit, it’s like they are not even focusing on them. First, they barely put them on variety shows, and the only one they went to -Idol Room- was lacking promotion music wise; and the promotion period is just two weeks (meaning that this upcoming week is the last one we will be seeing them on music shows). They spent the first 30 minutes of the program talking and messing around with Doni and Coni, and then introduced ‘Eclipse’. For a non GOT7 fan, an outsider, this could get boring pretty fast. Secondly, the album stock situation: because of that mistake we lost sales, sales that were crucial for music shows. Thirdly, the time they decided to release the comeback was extremely bad calculated, they should have known this could happen. Also, their decision of debuting a new subunit and sending Bambam on tour was something benefitial at the moment but with not so good long term consequences, as everything now seems rushed and poorly done. I understand that it’s really hard to schedule comebacks, specially if we take into account the company as a whole: Itzy’s debut - JUS2 debut / Jinyoung drama - StrayKids comeback - Twice comeback - Itzy comeback - GOT7 world tour - Twice world tour - StrayKids world tour... but even though everything is packed, I still think that things could have been done differently. There’s something wrong with the management team in Division 2 that is affecting GOT7 negatively, and that also makes me fear for Itzy (as both groups are under this division).

7. JYP strict rules towards fans – Fansigns problems. This point has to do with issues that happened weeks prior to the comeback, but that is clearly affecting the promotions. In case you didn’t know, ‘fans’ followed GOT7 members everywhere (yes, even to their homes), the situation got so out of control that even the boys had to post in their personal Instagram accounts the official statement released by JYP Entertainment, and because of that JYP reinforced the rules that ahgases must follow when they are with the boys. But this rules have gone as far as to not even allowing the fans to touch or high five the members in fansigns (now, let’s remember that the fans that go to the fansigns have spent a ridiculously huge amount of money on albums just to get the chance of going), and not letting the members write the names of the fans in the albums (they just basically sign the album and that’s it). And not only that, recently ahgases that went to one of the fansigns last week took to Twitter to express their discontent with how they were treated by the staff. I’ll leave some of the messages that ahgases posted on Twitter:

I do agree that we must protect the boys, and I think those rules are great to be followed outside. But on a closed space with security to watch over everything that’s going on in the event, not allowing fans to even get a high five with the members is going a bit too far. Also, the staffs’ attitude needs to be checked: they are there working, not having fun with their friends. They should know their position in the fansigns, and not disturb the conversations going on between fans and the members of GOT7. I really hope JYP Entertainment thinks things over, because if not the consequences could be catastrophic. Take as an example the upcoming tour, no info about VIP tickets has been released yet. In fact, for the America leg of the tour there are no VIP tickets. That makes me wonder how things are going to be done in the tour.

8. Album and comeback thoughts (focused on just the boys and music). After so many negative comments, the only good thing about all of this is seeing the boys together and doing what they love. I can’t express with words how happy I am to see them together again after so much time. Also, the whole album is a bop. It’s the bop of the year (fight me on that): all the songs are amazing, the vocals, the raps, the lyrics, the music, the style, the concep... just everything is out of this world. I’m so glad that they get to perform on stage and carry out the message this album has. I couldn’t relate more with the meaning of this album, and I know we all ahgases feel the same way. Even though a lot of negative things have happened in the past few weeks, I’m still happy to see they are back and better than ever. As their fans, the only thing we can do is support them no matter what and be there for them just like they are here for us when we need them the most. Also, I can’t wait for the tour to start and I can’t wait to see them again this year. I’m so excited that just listening to the songs of the last tour makes me feel tingly on the inside!

JINYOUNG’S MEMORY LANE 🍑🧡

The fourth post of the series ‘Memory Lane: Got7’ is dedicated to The Nation’s First Love, one of the best actors in the world (you can totally see how un-biased I am, right? 😂) and mother of Got7: Jinyoung!

Park Jinyoung (박 진영) was born in South Korea the 22nd of September, 1994. Known by the ahgase fandom as Jireongie, Pepi or Park Gae (Wang Gae Park Gae forever!), Park Jinyoung has been gracing us with his singing, dancing and acting skills since 2012.

Born in a loving family, Jinyoung spent his childhood surrounded by the unconditional love of his parents and two older sisters. Even though we don’t have a lot of information about his childhood or pre-debut life, it is known that when he was young, he mostly played with dolls instead of other toys that are more “suited” for boys (this is thanks to his sisters 😊).

Also, we know that he graduated from Kyunggi High School, where he was the president of his class (we love a responsible boy). In a TV program, he said that he still stays in contact with his homeroom teacher, because she is the one who guided him to become who he is today (thank you very much Jinyoung’s homeroom teacher, ahgases own you a lot! 😭).

But he wasn’t just a responsible boy, he was also a really good person. Some time ago, a boy that went to the same high school as our Prince revealed that even though he was bullied and an outcast, Jinyoung would get his friends to sit and eat with him so he wouldn’t feel alone and left out. This boy said that he felt really thankful for what Jinyoung did, and that he was a really good hyung (it seems clear that our boy has had a heart of gold since he was young, no wonder why people love him so so so much 💛).

Jinyoung once commented that since he was a child he wanted to be a singer but never did anything to achieve his goal, until one day his dad told him that he would not be anything in life. That hurt him so much that from then on he decided to prove his father wrong and show him that he could become whatever he wanted (his dad was a bit harsh, but his words surely served as motivation for our boy, so... thanks?).

So, our Jinyoung started to practice dancing and singing, and signed up for JYP’s Open Auditions in 2009 where he tied with JB for first place, officially making him a JYP Entertainment trainee. There, he trained for 2 years and 6 months before debuting.

However, while he was preparing for his idol debut, he appeared in a few dramas along with JB. He first made his acting debut in KBS2’s “Dream High 2”, and then appeared in the drama “When a Man Loves”.

Finally, on the 20th May 2012, he made his debut as a member of the duo JJ Project (along with 🌴) with the song ‘Bounce’ (I can hear Yugy, JJ Project’s fan-club president, singing his heart out to this song, it was the bop of the century!).

What I didn’t mention before was that Jinyoung and JB have been friends since before being JYP trainees, making this one of the reasons why they decided to audition together for JYP Entertainment (my JJ Project feelings, they’re so cute! 😭). At the auditions, they attracted the attention of the public through their exceptional talent, and that’s why they debuted together.

Even though his stage name tight now is Jinyoung (thanks to his parents), I have to highlight that the reason why Jinyoung originally debuted under the stage name “Jr.” was because he shares his real name with JYP Entertainment’s founder, and therefore J.Y. Park himself wanted him to be a younger version of himself (I kinda prefer our boy to have his real name tbh 🤷🏻‍♀️).

Jinyoung not only debuted as part of JJ Project back in 2012. On the 16th of January 2014, Pepi debuted along the rest of the members of Got7 with the song ‘Girls Girls Girls’ (I have to say that style wise, he didn’t look that bad, but the colored green eyeshadow was a bit to much for me 😂).

This was the continuation of his dream alongside JB (his longtime friend) and 5 new brothers who would become his “sons” over time, because he is known as the one who takes good care of them. Therefore, he is the mom of the group (our “mommy” Jinyoung has a rough life taking care of the kids).

It’s been 7 years since his debut, and our Jinyoung is known as a super hard worker, not only for dancing and singing, but for acting. He starred in the web-series “Dream Knight” along with his fellow Got7 members in 2015 (confession time: I find the drama cringy to watch, but I love it so much I’m sure it’s become unhealthy). He acted in “My Love Eun-Dong” in 2015, where he got a huge amount of praise from the public, other drama directors and actors. He acted in “The Legend of the Blue Sea” in 2016, where -once again- he received tons of praises and offers form different directors. He acted in the JYP drama called “Magic School” in 2017 together with 2PMs Nichkhun and Park Yoon. And also, he acted in the movie “Snowflakes” (also known as “A Stray Goat”) in 2017, where he made his debut as a movie actor.

Currently he is filming his new drama called “He Is Psychometric” (2019) along with Shin Ye Eun (a really talented JYP actress, and gorgeous too 😊). This is the first time our Jinyoung has a leading role in a drama, and I seriously can’t wait for it to aired and be swept out of my socks and see my wig flying to South Korea.

But he has not only shown his talent in acting. He has become an amazing composer for the group, creating songs full of meaning and feelings like ‘Face’, ‘My Youth’ or ‘Thank You’ (you know, the ones that make you think and cry all at the same time, aka my fave songs 🤣). Jinyoung has said that he finds inspiration in ahgases’ love and his own life experiences, and I can only aspire to be half as talented as he is one day (probably that won’t happen, but at least I have him to be by my side🥰).

Going back to JJ Project for a little bit now. After 5 years since their debut, these boys made a comeback in July 2017 with the song ‘Tomorrow, Today’ from the album ‘Verse 2’. You can definitely see how our Jinyoung has changed over the years, and how much he has matured. The songs he composed for the album are full of feelings and are relatable to everyone. He said that ‘Verse 2’ was meant to be an album that could help people going through a hard time to not feel alone, as they could easily relate to the lyrics of the songs (my honest un-biased opinion: THE ALBUM DESERVED A FUCKING GRAMMY!)

In this 7 years he has achieved many things. He first debuted with his longtime friend JB (🌴) in JJ Project, then debuted again in Got7 and became the mom of the group (and somehow married JB, as he is the dad of our babies), acted in many dramas and finally starred in one, opened his Instagram after Got7’s first win, composed and wrote many songs for the group’s albums, went on a World Tour (he blew me a kiss in the Paris Concert, your girl almost dies right then and there!),etc.

It’s clear that he is a really talented person, and I’m so happy he debuted again with Got7. He truly is an essential part of the group (just like the rest of the members) and I can’t imagine a better mommy for the group.

Also, I have to apologize to all of you for being missing for such a long time, and not post as I planned to (this series would have been finished by now if I had sticked to my plan). I’m a college student, and for the past month or so I had to study for my finals (good news, I have passed all of them: YAY ME! 😊). But I’m back now, so I’ll keep posting for this series.

Another thing I wanted to add was that, if you are curious about my experience at the concert, I can make a separate post on it, and show my pictures and videos (I have a clip of Jackson dancing ‘Paradise’ in front of me that is pure gold), and also talk about how it was.

Youngjae‘s Memory Lane 🌞💛

The third post of the series ‘Memory Lane: Got7’ is dedicated to our Sunshine, our Baby Otter and father of Coco (Got7’s 8th unofficial member): Youngjae!

Choi Youngjae (최 영재) was born in South Korea the 17th of September, 1996. Known by the ahgase fandom as sunshine, genius and otter, Youngjae has been gracing us with his magical and therapeutic voice for 22 years (and counting).

Born in a loving family, Youngjae spent his childhood surrounded by the unconditional love of his parents, older brother and older sister. Later on, his family would grow with the birth of his nephew and niece, making our baby otter one of the coolest uncles in the entire world (I mean, he gave the kids free card to get as many toys as they wanted, so... sunshine is cool 😎).

Even though we don’t have that many details about his pre-debut life, I think Youngjae was a really shy and kind kid. He was known for being a serious and hardworking person when it came to school, so it’s no surprise that the rest of the group acknowledges him as an honor student.

Fun little story: Youngjae confessed that one day when he was young, on his way back home he was happily eating a hot dog, when he suddenly started to notice that he was being followed by a man. When he arrived home, said man grabbed his arm an took his hot dog while asking him to give him the rest of his money. Luckily, Youngjae‘s mom came out and the man run away. He didn’t steal baby otter’s money, but he did run away with his hot dog (I’m sure the situation was scary at that time, but I find it really funny 😂).

Since a really young age, Youngjae loved singing. Even before wanting to be an idol, Sunshine wanted to become a music therapist. This means that he really cares about other people and what they are feeling. I feel that, in a way, he really did become a music therapist. There’s something special and magical about his voice that instantly makes you feel overwhelmed with emotions. He has that incredible ability to make us feel so many things in just a few minutes.

Before he entered JYP Entertainment and began training, one of the things he loved to do the most in this world was singing with his brother. He was the one who motivated him to debut as a singer (thank you Youngjae’s brother!).

One of the things we know is that he had a lot of part-time jobs, because at the time his parents didn’t really support his dream. Among the jobs he has done, our baby otter has worked flyering, at a billiard place and serving.

In the summer of 2013, after passing an audition at his music school, he entered JYP Entertainment and began training to become an idol. He only trained for 7 months before joining the final lineup of Got7 and debuting, making him the member with shortest training period in the group.

Our Sunshine has expressed in many occasions that he used to feel really anxious about debuting. The reason is because, even though he was older than Bambam and Yugy, he had less training experience. He confessed that because of this he would stay behind training after lessons ended, so he could catch up with the rest of the members.

Finally, the 16th of January 2014, Baby Otter debuted along the rest of the members of Got7 with the song ‘Girls Girls Girls’ (Btw, I don’t know about you baby birds, but it took me a while to spot JYP PDnim cameo in the MV).

This was officially the start of his dream as an idol. A dream we, ahgases, have been living with him for the past 5 years.

According to the members, Youngjae is the one who has changed the most throughout the years. He went from being a small and shy fluffball, to a handsome and extremely talented man. He keeps making our hearts beat with his amazing singing skills. There’s truly no one like him in the entire world, and I’m so happy he got to debut with Got7.

He has a gold heart, and loves everyone. He even bought presents for every Got7 moms' members one time they went to LA (if this doesn’t make your heart flutter, then I don’t know what it does 🥰).

In this 5 years he has achieved many things. He became the dad of Coco (along with Markie-Pooh), opened his SoundCloud account “ARS” where he posts his personally composed and written songs, sang many OST, went on a World Tour, composed and wrote many songs for Got7’s albums (‘Nobody Knows’ gives me all the chills), etc.

I hope ahgases give tons and tons of love to Youngjae. It really saddens me to know that he is the most underrated member, he deserves to shine brightly just like the rest of Got7. I wish people can see Youngjae with ahgases’ eyes and realize how special he is.

Bambam’s Memory Lane 🐍💚

The second post of the series ‘Memory Lane: Got7’ is dedicated to our thai dab king: Bambam!

Kunpimook Bhuwakul Bambam (กันต์พิมุกต์ ภูวกุล) was born in Thailand on the 2nd of May, 1997. Widely known as our fan service king, Bammie has been serving looks and talent since the very first day of his life.

Born in a big family, Bammie spent part of his childhood surrounded by the love of his parents, two older brothers and younger sister. But sadly, his father passed away when he was very young, leaving his mom to take care of him and his siblings all by herself. Despite this situation, Bammie’s mom worked hard for her kids and raised them well, turning them into the amazing people they are today (thank you Bammie’s mom for doing a fantastic job! 💚).

Fun fact, a lot of people think that ‘BamBam’ is just a stage name, but the truth is that it’s his real name. It was given by his mom while she was pregnant, as she was inspired by “The Flintstones” when she saw how strong the little kid was. Bammie’s mom gave him this name so he could grow to be just a strong as the character (thank god his mom didn’t let his dad name him after a liquor just like he wanted...).

His dream of becoming an idol started thanks to his mom and the korean idol Rain. Bammie’s mom was a huge fan of Rain and didn’t miss a single concert of his. This led Bambam to practice his dancing hard to become just like him. He even appeared in many thai CF to gain popularity.

Along the things he did as a kid, the most outstanding ones are winning 1st place in a “Rain Cover Dance” competition held in Thailand back in 2007, wonning 2nd place in a “LG Entertainer” competition held in 2010, and being part of a dance group called ‘Wee Zaa Cool’ (along with BlackPink’s Lisa). All of this achievements led him to become a JYP trainee in 2010.

As a trainee, Bambam was anything but normal. Youngjae once told that when he became a trainee and went to live at the dorms, the first one to greet him was Bam, but he didn’t do it in a conventional way. This kid loved pulling pranks on the rest of the trainees, and when Youngjae first arrived, he thought it was one of the others. So, what did he do? He flashed baby otter Youngjae on their first meeting... Imagine being new and receiving this kind of greetings, I’ll be scared.

Do you remember that in my last post I told you that Yugy was envious of the treatment Bammie received because of his cute and innocent appearance? Well, it turns out Bammie was envious as well, but for the opposite reason. He was jealous because our Yugy was tall and manly, while he looked like a baby. As I told you before, this led to them fighting all the time as a trainees (but they’re fine now, bros for life 🐍❤️🐜).

Fun fact number two: Bambam wasn’t supposed to be part of Got7. Bammie revealed that JYP was reluctant for him to join the trainees competition between YG and JYP (broadcasted on the YG’s survival show ‘Winner: Who’s Next?’) due to his age, but it was Yang Hyun Suk that changed his mind when he complimented him the most thanks to his outstanding performance. After that, JYP decided to let him debut with the rest of the members, and changed the group’s name from ‘Got6’ to ‘Got7’ (I guess he didn’t want YG to steal Bammie from JYP 🤣). Bambam also revealed while talking to Bang Chan (broadcasted on ‘Stray Kids’ survival show) that he was actually supposed to debut with Stray Kids instead of Got7 (this makes me ask myself one thing, if Bammie had debuted with SK, would he have been the leader? 🤔).

Bammie has no limits when it comes to what he wants, he truly is Young and Rich, a young and rich businessman with more talented accumulated in one fingernail than me in my whole body (sad but true). He is so sweet that he even bought his mom a house, so she can live comfortably.

In this 5 years he has achieved many things. He opened many restaurants and cafes, became the face of many brands in Thailand, became a dad of four, went on a World Tour, composed and wrote many songs for Got7’s albums (‘Party’ is my party jam!), etc. He has grown not only as a person, but also an artist, and I couldn’t be more proud of him even if I tried.

Baby birds! This is the end of this post, but I hoped you had fun reading it. I still can’t believe how much he’s changed over the years, I almost feel like a mom recalling her kids achievements (tbh, I’m a bit emotional 😭).

Yugyeom’s Memory Lane 🐜💙

Today is Got7’s maknae’s birthday, so the first post of the series ‘Memory Lane: Got7’ is dadicated to him. This giant baby boy has been gracing us with his presence for 21 (22 in Korea) years, making us smile, sing and dance along with him in every comeback.

Kim Yugyeom (김 유겸) was born in South Korea on the 17th of November, 1997. Known as Baby Gyomie, Dancing Machine, Giant Maknae, Browny and Giant Baby by the ahgase fandom, he keeps impressing fans with his dance moves and amazing singing skills.

Born in a caring family, our Yugy grew up surrounded by the love of his parents and older brother.

Since a very young age, he dreamed about becoming a dancer. But, his mom just wanted him to go to school and study like a normal kid. So what did our maknae do? Ask his mom to give him a chance to prove himself.

At the age of 13, he went to New York for a week to study dancing at ‘House Dance NY Dance Academy’. His hardworking attitude towards his dream payed off in the best way posible, as he enrolled in Hamlim Arts High School to major in Street Dance, which led to an opportunity for him to audition for JYP Entertainment. As we all know, our Yugy passed the audition and became a JYP Entertainment trainee in late 2010/early 2011 (thank god our baby got in!).

As a trainee he kept practicing his singing and dancing skills, and in 2011 he won 2nd place at the Adrenaline House Dance Battle.

But not everything was as good as it seamed. Yugy was treated differently from Bambam (cutie baby Bam 🐍💚) beacause of his more mature appearance. This is something that contrasted a lot from his childish personality, one of the reasons why other male trainees didn’t really want to hang out with him. He was even bullied by an American trainee who, as Yugy described, was big and looked like Terminator. Because he was struggling with the bully, he had to call JB and ask for help. Obviously, our cat-lover leader always had his back and helped him when he needed it the most (JB has me like UWU ☺️).

Despite this, he worked hard along the rest of trainees, and even though he injured himself while learning tricks (he was going to do tricks along with Mark and Jackson), he kept going and giving his all for his dream.

Our Yugy has confessed that when the final lineup of Got7 was revealed, he prayed a lot so that they would all debut together and none of the members would be left outside (our Yugy is truly an angel 😇).

The 16th of January, 2014 Yugy finally debuted along the rest of the members of Got7 with the song ‘Girls Girls Girls’ (his prayers were heard, an no member was left behind!) (Also, this song will remain the biggest bop of 2014 to me 😎).

This was officially the start of his dream as an idol. A dream we, ahgases, have been living with him for the past 5 years.

We have seen this baby grow and become the man he is today through each comeback. We have seen puberty hit him like a truck and do a f*ucking awesome job (I mean, look at him now!). We have seen him leave his “pure and innocent” maknae stage to become the floor humping beast he is today. And the most important thing, we have seen him accomplish huge things both alone and with Got7 (🐥💚).

Our Yugy has done some remarkable things since he debuted, like winning 1st place on “Hit the Stage”, releasing bops on Sound Cloud (still waiting for his next song), choreographing Got7 dances, writing songs for Got7’s albums, going on a World Tour, etc.

I know I keep saying that he is now a man, which technically he is. But let’s face the truth, deep down he is still a baby boy who loves to drink iced chocos, has a luminescent ball he turns on when he can’t sleep (or is afraid of dark), compares himself to a Golden Retriever and is shy when it come to girls.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUGYEOM! 🐜🥳🎉🥳🎉 I hope you have the best day ever, and receive all the love you deserve from your fans! My only wish is to keep watching you grow as a person and as an artist with the rest of the boys. I want to see you guys keep accomplishing more things as a group, along with us ahgases (🐥).

I really hope you baby birds enjoy this post about our maknae. I can’t believe he is 21 now, it kind of makes me feel a bit emotional 😭.

Let’s take a walk down Yugbam’s memory lane

Appreciation post for the babies of Got7: Bambam and Yugyeom. Our two beautiful crackheads that have always been together through thick and thin.

Sometimes it’s hard to think that both of them didn’t really get along at the start of their friendship, and fought a lot. I mean, look at them now, they’re besties for life. They even go as far as saying “I can’t live without you” to each other (I give all my UWU to them). 🥰🥰

Also, can we appreciate the glow up? We should all agree that it’s the glow up of the century. Honestly, the more I look at how much they’ve changed and matured throughout the years, the more emotional I become. I’m so happy the have found each other. 💕💕

You know baby birds, they say that finding a true best friend is one of the hardest yet most beautiful things in the world. Having someone who will always be there for you whenever you need them, that gets you on every single level, someone who doesn’t judge you, appreciates who you are and loves you because of it, is something really beautiful. Knowing that the connection with that person will last forever, even if you go on separate ways, brings you comfort and happiness. I’m just so glad that they’ve found each other, and that they are each other’s sources of happiness and confront. I hope to see them grow old together and keep posting weird stuff on social media, because that’s how Yugbam’s works. 🐍🐜💞

Our babies are no longer babies. Yugy will turn 21 (22 in Korea) in a few days, so I’m making this post to honor Yugbam’s precious friendship, and celebrate Yugy’s pre-birthday days. 🥳🥳

REFLECTION ABOUT GOT7 THIS COMEBACK

Hello baby birds! I just wanted to write a post to express my feelings about Got7’s recent achievements.

1) Music Core win and PAK. In case you didn’t know, this is the very first time that Got7 wins a trophy in Music Core since their debut back in 2014, so this is a big thing for them and for us ahgases. Also, this is the first time they get a Perfect All Kill with any of their comebacks. Seeing them receive these trophies on the music shows makes me really happy, specially because we were the ones who got them for our boys. Our time and dedication with the votings and streaming really paid off. We are indeed one of the best fandoms out there. So congrats to all of us for getting a PAK!!!

2) Got7 being the best seller under JYP. This is something that makes me really proud as an ahgase, but I wasn’t really surprised by this fact. Back when JYP Entertainment was having financial issues, the ones who raised the company’s stockings to an acceptable level (and giving it the opportunity to be part of the Big 3) were Suzy and Got7. Since Got7’s debut, their fandom has increased year after year, and even now it keeps growing (something that’s not very common, since they already are a stablished group with 5 years of experience), so it’s no surprise that their sells keep growing more and more as well. Our boys have been working really hard since they debuted, so it upsets me sometimes that they don’t get the recognition they truly deserve.

3) Hard Carry 2. The fact that they have a show where they can have fun together makes me extremely happy. Not only are they giving us quality content, but they’re also having fun filming it (something I feel they haven’t done in a long time). Seeing them do all these activities together as a group, and smile and joke around like they have no cares in the world, really warms my heart. I hope we can see them smile like that forever.

4) The comeback itself. Can we all agree that this is THE comeback of our lives? I mean, Look (Eyes On You) will always remain superior (we got a world tour because of it), but this whole comeback (the title track, the side tracks, the individual tracks, the concept, the promotions, everything) is purely amazing. We get to see the boys individual colors, as well as the color the project as a group. This comeback is truly a present for us ahgases, and we should be eternally thankful for that. Personally, as a Spanish ahgase, I’m very happy that they even thought about us international fans. This shows just how caring they are towards all of us.

5) New personal record with Lullaby views. We broke our own record with Look, and now we have broken it again with Lullaby, making it be on the list of videos with the most views on the first 24h. This is an awesome achievement for us, as we keep giving ourselves goals and meeting them. I’m sure that as time goes by, we will keep breaking our own record many more times, and making Got7 proud of us.

6) Melon issue. I think this is something most of us already know, but I still want to mention it because it still upsets me. We were number one on Naver, Bugs, Mnet, etc. charts, but we debuted in a really low place on Melon, and even though the listeners kept increasing, our position kept dropping. Why? That’s what I’d like to know too. I truly believe there was something going on with Melon, because it’s not normal that the listeners increased as well as the streaming reproductions, but our position didn’t. Anyway, I hope that Melon doesn’t fuck our scores up for the next comeback.

7) Ahgases hard work. I cannot express with words how glad I am to be part of this beautiful fandom. Seeing all of us working so hard, voting endlessly for them and streaming day/night to increase the views, makes me really emotional. Our work is enough to prove what a strong fandom we are, and how caring we are towards each other. Not only the boys are peacemakers, we are too. The way we handle dramas and rumors it’s truly remarkable, always polite. I can only say that I love you all baby birds! 🐥💚

With all of that said, I can only add that I’m really proud of being part of this fandom, calling myself an ahgase and stanning these boys as a group/individually. They deserve all the love in the world, and I’m glad they have us by their sides. Let’s keep fighting together for them ahgases!!! I love you all!!! 사랑해 아가새!!! 💚🐥💚
