not no but hell no???? there’s a huge, huge difference between roleplaying generalized tragedy (i.e sexual assault, struggles with addiction, etc) and touching on the VERY REAL horrors that REAL PEOPLE had to face in REAL LIFE for the sake of a roleplay.
if you want to write slavery, fine!! but do it in a general way, separate from the actual struggles of actual people. the person who wrote that prompt is disgusting and deserves to be vilified in every way.

talking ooc before straight up responding to someone’s post is common courtesy like 9 times out of 10
leaving just “hi/hey/yo/hello” and literally nothing else can turn people away. if someone responds to my prompt, or even just a NAP, with only a “hi!” i’ll definitely ignore them until they add something else.
hey so......you don't get brownie points for having a "diverse headcanon" if you simply describe your character as "Asian". that's like, racist as all get out.
this is a dumb thing to get salty about but like. i'm so annoyed!!! by prompts that are looking for h/c by putting their character in a shitty situation, particularly familial abuse, but then they request a dave that has a peachy home life. dave is!! canonically!! a kid who experienced domestic violence!!! if you're writing to cope or whatever, ask for a different character, don't change dave's history for no reason!!
i mean when i want to block something that doesn't specifically have a blacklist tag i find it isn't super difficult to pick put like a chain of 3 or 4 words that are unique to that prompt. but, that could just be me. also idk about ya'll but i'm under the impression the blacklist is oriented more towards people being able to avoid trigger subjects than prompts that haven't led to successful roleplay but are otherwise innocuous.
most str8 oc prompts posted on dear cherub can be neatly sorted into two categories: 1. nasty pwp that grossly objectifies women in one way or another and is straight up masturbatory fodder, no shame 2. 50ft long, pretentious NAP, usually a female looking for dudes only, uses "mary-sue/gary-stu" and "please be literate" unironically

it was “treating rape as a kink is disgusting” a la the whole idea of roleplaying a character with cancer for “”””sadstuck””” is pretty gross or how we collectively flip shit when someone posts a wwii/holocaust prompt.
