Expectation leads to disappointment.
She acts without
doing anything...
She teaches without
saying anything...
Things arise and
she lets them come...
Things disappear and
she lets them go....
She has but doesn't
possess...
She acts but doesn't
expect...
When her work
is done,
she forgets it...
That is why
it lasts forever....

Giving birth and nourishing,
having without possessing,
acting with no expectations,
leading and not trying to control:
this is the supreme virtue.

Authentic spirituality is revolutionary. It does not legitimate the world, it breaks the world; it does not console the world, it shatters it. And it does not render the self content, it renders it undone. —Ken Wilber

I have to listen to my video to do the journaling. I can't write fast enough.
The Lovers. Art by Cristy C. Road, from Next World Tarot.
The Lovers are the electricity between contrasted energies that give one another life. The Lovers are the choices between methods of survival, and the discovery of a pristine middle ground. The Lovers are a sacred point where power merges from the spine. The Lovers are the feeling of warmth and belonging — the meeting where you felt heard and the gathering where you felt alive. The Lovers are two halves of a whole, intuitively joined at the hip and made for one another. They intersect at moments of calm resilience, and moments of pain and dysphoria — and they offer the wisest connection — the connection that truly reciprocates, the one that truly holds you. It can be a person, a place, your own mind and body.
The Lovers asks you to trust this. The Lovers remind us that love does not exist as one narrative where our connections are limited to people and places outside ourselves. Love is constant in a full heart or an aching spine. It’s the decaying leaves of trees in autumn that remind us that struggle and change can exhibit our most colorful talents.
As the universe offers pipe dreams, delusions, and wayward paths, the Lovers asks you to embrace an indestructible bond that honors you for you.
Revolution. Art by Cristy C. Road, from Next World Tarot.
You’re surviving on the ashes of a chaotic revelation. As you’ve found heart, soul and belonging in the rubble of trauma, you’ve built a home on a fractured surface that you’d hoped wouldn’t kill you.
In the name of ownership, or in the name of self-destruction; we hold on.
Humanity and nature have long suffered for the occupation of a fossil fuel economy. Whether we compromise our beliefs to survive in a capitalist system, or lose our power because we are under siege by that same system — we choose to stay in our home. During revolution, we hold onto our definitions of home while we destroy the foundation that no longer supports us. While we can’t overthrow entire systems in one sitting, we can till rebuilt our own lives.
From the Dakota Access Pipeline at Standing Rock, to the longstanding war for oil in the Middle East, Revolution is an urgent call for truth. In these instances, and those we experience in our everyday lives, no human should sacrifice their life in the name of others’ profit — other’s success — and no human should sacrifice their truth in the name of societal, social, or familial values.
Revolution is the manifestation of your truth — yet the destruction of a foundation. Revolution is the loss of a comforting vice, but the birth of a healed soul.
Revolution is a redistribution of power that finally serves you and the world around you.
Yetzirah, Kenneth Grant
