Etzli...Call me Ce Cuauhtli. My question to you is what is your feelings about incorporating the dances to the mexica deities in practical worship, or saluting the six ( seven) directions each morning?
I'm in favor of both! Very, very late reply on my part, but my Nahua family have taught me, or tried, at least, some traditional dances. And I do use them in ritual.

Yeah, I’m just Greek :) And I’m pretty sure the Aztec religion is closed, so not !many people are a part of it unless they are from that culture
My friend @ahuizotlandashray might be able to help. He’s devoted to the Aztec gods (mesoamerican polytheism.) I don’t think it’s a closed religion or he wouldn’t be part of it. He’s not the type to step over boundaries like that.
It's semi-closed, really. Contemporary Nahua practices differ greatly from reconstructionalist polytheism because of the strong Catholic influence. If you're going to be part of either I'd suggest studying with someone who is or has ties with the portion indigenous Nahua who still practice a polytheist religion, because it will greatly improve your practice.
My Auntie is Nahua and helped me out. If anyone needs help with anything I'd love to assist.
