It was sad, leaning to ridiculous the fact Airmid was before him, while he was unconscious.
How weak would she be that she would only be able to speak her heart out while knowing he wasnât listening to her. It felt easier to go through, the thought that he would never believe her after what she did. And facing him to be called a liar or ignored was something the goddess couldnât afford to deal with, her emotional balance was walking on a thin line. So was he, she believed.Â
Keeping herself on the chair, she leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees and her hand supporting her chin, Airmid sighed while scanning his relaxed face. He had a much more soft breathing than when she left to work, signing her that Ahulane was having a good recovery. Within seconds, Airmid saw herself reaching with her hand to stroke his hair but she hesitated and the god moved, making Airmid step back further away.
âIn centuries, there were thousand of faces⊠Thousands of possible moments someone could say it was love and comfort. For me, love is not about comfort. It is about excitement, expectation, warmth, adventure, failure, courage, challenge⊠And the only face that made feel, made me go through all of those⊠it was you. I guess that, all of this time I was lying to myself more than I ever did with you⊠After I left Scotland, I swore to myself I would never be connected with any sort of violenceâŠâÂ
She started to walk around the room endlessly, gaze travelling between him and her hands gesturing towards the plants and giving them life. âI couldnât understand of why your presence had such impact into my life. When I was with you, I wished to only make you smile. When I was without you, I felt incomplete. Yet I never showed, because a part of me couldnât hold on to you.âÂ
Walking now to him, Airmid glanced upon the place where before it was a big, deep cut. There was a scar that, with time would vanish. âI love you Ahulane. I never said this to anyone. No one was worth of this words except you. Iâve said it in my mind countless times through the years. But I never had bravery to accept it. And I will keep loving you.â Leaning closer to him Airmid carefully placed a soft kiss in his forehead, one of her tears sliding from her skin to his. âEven if it means I will never have your love again.â Her voice showed her state of crying, sobbing through the words as she stepped away from him.Â
Ahulane honestly had no idea how to react. This was the same woman who had no problem stomping over his heart just a few days ago. He gets a bit injured, and she starts to freak out. He really wanted to hold onto this words as if they were true, but there was so many emotions probably going through her mind right now that he doubted that she was thinking logically.Â
He believed that Airmid cared for him. Even if she didnât truly love him, they had spent centuries together off and on. So no matter what, he was someone she cared about to an extent. So, he expected worry and some distress from her. Though the words that kept leaving her lips were almost fatal to him.
Ahulane slowly and carefully sat up after she kisses his forehead, grimacing as he did so. This was worst than when he did P90x. Strong arms grab her, and he pulls her into his chest. He wants to scorn her for her words, no matter the fact that he loved what she sad. However, this was the woman he loved. He couldnât stomach seeing her sob like this.Â
Lovingly, he tilts her head upward so he may clean the tears that littered his cheeks. âI donât know if I can trust your words.â He quietly admits to her. After she had threw his heart on the ground during their last meeting, it was an honest reaction. However, he was a greedy man, and his heart begged for him to accept it. He had been so lost without her on his own, and just holding her in his arms like he was now, it was a very brief form of relief.Â
Pressing his forehead against hers, he decided that he would allow himself to become her fool once more. Maybe, truth actually laid in her words, and it would be the end of their fighting. However if not, he would learn that he could not trust her ever again. âYou know I love you, darling. I always will, but unless you can accept me for being me, I donât know if can even give your words the time of day.â He kept close, trying to control his own self.Â
âDo you really love me, Airmid? Violence and all? If so, maybe, we need a redo.â
