Success! He went for it hook, line, and sinker. That grouchy uncle of his could be a tad predictable, though it only ever made his endeavours of baiting him into actually doing things a little easier. “Let’s go, let’s go!” he singsonged, as cheery as ever, as he pushed the door open, letting Hades step foot in first and following suit once the elder male was inside.
If the smell from outside was appetising, then the aroma inside was something else entirely. Apollon roamed the pokey, narrow shop in awe, eyeing the variety of treats available and quickly realising that picking just one would be a challenge. It was almost as though they all begged to be bought.
In the end, it was the macarons that he settled on. He purchased a box of six, intending to save some for his brother later on, as well as a latte. He recently found himself enjoying the combination of sweets and the bitterness of coffee. At the register, Apollon had told the cashier that he’d also pay for his uncles order, pointing over to Hades, who was currently lost to the world, pondering over what to order. The odd look that the cashier wore went unnoticed by the chirpy blonde, who had flashed her a smile before deciding to crash into Hades’ reverie. “Uncle! Do you know what you want? Everything looks so good, doesn’t it?”
He stepped inside the store a little tentatively, glancing around the heavenly place with it's heavenly aroma with a transfixed expression that was barely concealed behind the long strands of dark hair that lay over his face. He walked over to the glass fronted counter and leaned over a tad to look at the assortment of prettily decorated cakes and pastries set out neatly on trays. Lots of strawberries. "That one." He murmured to himself, taking note of a layered slice of cake with strawberries in the cream filling and whole strawberries on top of it. "That one." A choux bun with strawberry cream filling and icing sugar dusting. "That one." Another pastry with strawberries on. He moved along the counter and selected a couple of macarons. But then. He couldn't eat all of this, could he? "Ah..." Looking up at the waiting counter attendant, he pointed to the slice of cake and the bun with a silent nod; That would do, he could come back another time for the rest; it just all looked so good. Apollon arriving to stand beside him started him a little and he straightened up from peering into the class. "I picked something." He said, glancing away. He'd nearly picked everything. "There's a grape tart we can get for Dionysus, should we acquire it and go see if he's existing?" He didn't think he was working today, though Hades needed to go into the planetarium tonight to work.
