Okay, hear me out: I desperately need Aziraphale to have a gigantic stash of drawings of Crowley from different eras hidden somewhere in the bookshop. Imagine Crowley, casually rummaging through some dusty old tomes, when he stumbles upon this hidden collection.
Every sketch, painting, and doodle is meticulously detailed, capturing Crowley in all his different styles and vibes throughout the centuries. From the medieval tunics to the 70s punk rock look to just very detailed sketches of his eyes and hands, Aziraphale's secret obsession with documenting his demon crush BAAM is revealed.
Crowley would totally have a meltdown. Picture the snarky, sarcastic demon utterly speechless, possibly even a little teary-eyed, not sure of what to think cause the bastard just fucked up to Heaven and left him while lowkey obcessing over him for 6000 years. It's the kind of moment that's vital for my survival ngl

What if "us" wasn't only "us together" but also "ourselves?" What if Crowley was telling Aziraphale that they could have had a chance at not having to hide not only their relationship anymore, but also their being "just a little bit a good person" and "just enough of a bastard to be worth knowing?" What if that's the whole point? They weren't doing a great job hiding their relationship before, but they both still guarded their true selves very closely.
With Gabriel and Beelzebub gone, with Heaven and Hell without leaders, no one to care about them anymore - they could have been... them.
okay but south downs cottage outsider point of view, aziraphale will talk anyone's ear off about crowley without them saying a word--shopkeeps, neighbors, a dog he ran into on a walk, you name it, chances are they know about crowley.
the problem: a third of them think crowley's a snake, a good amount probably think he's a husband who's kind and wonderful and a lover of gardens, an angel on the earth; and the rest definitely think he's a woman, sarcastic and so kind, but don't let her hear you say that
they're all right, but it is a chaos I think crowley (husband, wife, snake, everything in between) would live for if they all happened to meet
