I an trying to reduce the wip list to wips that I am actually working on atm 😅

1 - How had his feet guided him here? It was a long walk to be taking under the rain, with the cold wind ruffling his hair and slithering inside his long coat.

2 - Aziraphale took a moment to breathe, inhaling deeply and exhaling the same, palms smoothing his soft waistcoat, fingers hooking on the worn-out buttons.

3 - I wish I'd never met you. I wish I'd never lay eyes on you. I wish I'd never discovered your scent.

4 - Aziraphale slammed the door of his truck, hauling his backpack on his shoulders, and took a deep breath in, his eyes lingering on the board signalling the entrance to Richfront Park.

Since I'm currently working on one single wip (Somewhere, A Place For Us, my own version of good omens season 3), here are five of my favourite quotes from various chapters (not telling which ones, of course!) 1. Up there, no one listened to the Starmaker when he said he wasn’t lonely. That was because they knew a liar when they saw one. 2. What he really felt, nestled at the endocarp of the stone he called a heart, apple-shaped and rotting at a speed a whole lot faster than light, was anger. A swamp-coloured, flesh-eroding, reason-stifling broth in which he had simmered for far too long. 3. Are you perfect, yet? Are you shining through the cracks of my soul, are you making me whole? Are you making me proud, are you making me forget? 4. They stared at each other. If either of them moved, flinched, twitched, or even breathed a little too hard, they would go for it, forsaking everything for one night, for a few hours, or just for a minute. They longed for each other's touch way too much, and it was too hard, and much too late now, to tell craving from aversion, fondness from dislike and above it all, love from hatred. Yes. Absolutely yes. How many times do we see the other angels judging him, considering him "weird" and different?

He has special interests that he obsesses over and gets very, very excited about (books, food, magic tricks, etc).

He masks CONSTANTLY. He feels the need to put on a more "socially acceptable" facade in front of most people (the other angels especially), to diminish and minimize the quirkier aspects of his personality so that he won't be mocked or looked down on.

But the one person he can truly be HIMSELF with, the one who he feels safe with, is Crowley. Crowley might poke gentle fun at him sometimes, but he never makes him feel unworthy or like he needs to pretend to be someone else.

It's one of my favorite elements of the 1941 flashback in S2. Aziraphale is bubbling over with SO mucn excitement about his magic show. And Crowley COULD mock him, could roll his eyes and tell him to stop embarrassing himself.

But he doesn't. He encourages him, helps him, lets him have his fun. Because I think he absolutely LOVES how silly and quirky and fun his angel can be, when he lets his guard down.

It's much the same concept as Crowley taking off his sunglasses in the bookshop. They can be true to themselves around each other, in ways they can't around anyone else.

(Also i sometimes think the emptiness and stark bright whiteness of heaven is overstimulating and stressful to Aziraphale, though he feels uncomfortable admitting that.)

YES. YES YES YES YES YESSSS😭😭😭!

One thing I absolutely love is that Aziraphale almost always keeps his hands behind his back when he's talking to the other angels in Heaven. (The main exception is when he's lying to them, then he suddenly starts gesturing far more than usual, almost unnaturally so, even by his own standards.) But around Crowley, he doesn't seem embarrassed by his very expressive hand gestures, his "strange" mannerisms, or any of the other little things that make him who he is.

He knows Crowley accepts him exactly as he is. Even when Crowley grumbles about Aziraphale wanting to perform as a magician at Warlock's birthday party in Season 1, I've always felt that his irritation comes more from how stressed he is about the whole Antichrist situation. He thinks something has gone terribly wrong and that there's a very real chance they're going to lose.

I'm not even sure whether this would count as stimming, but I've always wondered if the way Aziraphale is constantly rubbing his fingers together could be seen as a form of self-regulation.

And, God... poor Aziraphale having to spend three years back in that Hell disguised as Heaven. I would've died from sensory overload alone with how overwhelmingly bright everything is

I'm in LOVE with the way they can be true with each other, to be who they are without hiding. Crowley wears his sunglasses even among demons, but not around Aziraphale when they are alone in the bookshop!

This is an excerpt (under the cut) from a very not-ready-to-post, very NSFW Good Omens fic with the (terrible) working title of "Pearls" (Basic premise is a SoftDom!Aziraphale retraining a TraumatizedSub!Crowley):

"I am going to hold you, and I am going to touch you until you climax." "...That's all?" "That's all." "...Doesn't seem like much. So long's you don't wank me til something falls off before you let me come. That's never fun..." "Oh, no, there will be no 'letting' you come. You're just going to." "Oh," said Crowley softly. "And," Aziraphale warned, "if you start begging me to let you come, I'm going to stop. And we'll have this whole conversation again, and then I'll start pleasuring you again. The cycle continues until you can orgasm freely." "Oh," said Crowley again, even more softly. Then, very much under his breath, "I'm gonna die." Aziraphale stroked his hand with gentle possessiveness. "Very probably."

sometimes, being trans can mean feeling older than your cis peers - more weathered, perhaps - when you're really quite young, and that's because dysphoria has the power to grind your life to a halt.

when every particle of your being, every ounce of energy you contain, is dedicated to attracting as little attention as possible, either by hiding your trans identity and pretending to be the gender you were assigned at birth, attempting to 'pass' to the best of your ability, or simply ignoring your transness insofar as you can because that's what you need to do to survive, there’s room for little else. it's absolutely inestimable how much brainpower is dedicated to this, usually for years of a person's life. it really does feel like you're stuck, exactly where you are, because any move you make outside of your immediate sphere will cause a ripple that will splash back on you somehow.

when you eventually come out the other side, through social transition or medical transition or a combination of the two, it feels simultaneously as if you are playing catchup with everyone else around you and also like you've aged beyond your years prematurely. it’s a weird one

Invoking The Arrangement, he reaches out to Crowley for the first time since their holy water fight over 27 years ago. Crowley comes to the rescue in grand style with a masquerade ball that breaks the silence between them and tempts Aziraphale into his arms.
