“Is that a spark of jealousy I hear?“ the male said, giving the other a very innocent smile and taking the glass. Cecil raised the glass, lightly tapping it on the other’s cup. “You know you are my favorite.“ He tipped the shot up and drank the liquor. The tequila went down smooth, but still burning the back of his throat. The male placed the glass down and was then handed his drink.
Cecil stirred his drink around a bit before speaking again. “Hey, if you feel that neglected, we could head back upstairs you know?” he teased, taking a sip from the “tea”. The male wiggled his eyebrows up and down with confident smile on his lips. “Not that I mind. I could always go for a second or third round with you. It might as well be the best time of your life right?”
Parties likes these tend to bored him out. He wasn’t interested in the items that were being auctioned or meeting people for personal gain, but he was the famous Cecil Li. Every girl’s new dream boy. And his management company did want him around for this event. Publicity purposes are so fun!
“jealousy? yeah, right.” there was an amused chuckle in her words as she spoke, thoroughly amused by her best friend’s reach. she wasn’t jealous and it wouldn’t make sense if she were. sure, they have been best friends since they were toddlers and have decided to fool around for the hell of it when they were both in their late teens. but there was no relationship in their past, present, or their future and the both of them preferred it that way. besides, why ruin a good thing by making it complicated with feelings?
aileen rolled her eyes as the greasy words cecil had spewed at her, taking them along with her shot in hand. “have some dignity, will you? if you really think i’m going to fool around with you in the same room you just used with another woman, you have another thing coming, cecil li.” picking up another shot that was at her finger tips, she placed the short glass to her lips, her eyes lingering over the bachelor.
“if you take me home with you, however, i might reconsider.”
