Just wanted to put an official statement down. I have honestly forgotten about this blog for a while plus I’m taking so many courses at college that I can’t really keep up to date with this. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Why Merthur is real? Why can't it be just a very strong bromance?

Honestly, it can just be a strong romance and in the canon it is. But I created this blog in the height of my Merlin and Merthur obsession and I had to think of a clever url so merthurloveisreal happened.

But yeah, despite how much I ship Merthur, I do know that in the show it isn't a thing. It's probably more of a courtly love with the whole servant and king thing going on. But subtext is fun, so I fully subscribe to that!
