I never had a break since I moved in here in Singapore, 4 days break definitely made me super happy. The weather has been amazing, super hot and sunny so I decided to make the most of it!! I found this video on BuzzFeed while procrastinating at work and I imagine Alan Watts whispering at the back of my ears, "What do you desire? What make you itch? If money were no object, what would you do? What would you really do?". To answer that question, I would really want to travel the world. I am so passionate & crave adventure. When I travel, I get to experience different smells, sounds, food flavors and visual colors. My brain finds itself working on overdrive trying to take it all in, & long afterward I can think back to a place and still remember what kind of vibe I felt. I will always remember the feeling a place gives me. Damn, If only I have the money to splurge, I'll quit my job now and plan my adventure.

Things To Do Around Johor | Premium Outlet Stores
Over the weekend, I decided to check out Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) Stores in Malaysia. It's just more than an hour long drive trip from Singapore where I am currently based. Boasting more than 80 designers and brand name outlet stores, one can get savings of 35% – 90% daily. Familiar names such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Armani, Burberry, Versace, Michael Kors and many other brands have products at discounted prices in here. There are also some other F&B outlets such as Starbucks and Coffee Bean for you to charge up in between your shopping spree!
The mall offers good range of high priced designer stores, but not overly impressed with pricing which still appears quite high, and there are no mid-range stores if you aren't looking for the top notch goods. One thing I've noticed though is that in the designer stores, the attendants will follow you while you roam around the store armed with their calculator. The minute you touch something, they’ll start tapping on their calculators and tell you the before and after rates of each item.
Getting There From Singapore:
-You can ride a bus going to Woodlands Immigration at Queen Street in Bugis. Fee is S$2.50, you can use your EZ Link Card or pay cash. Est time: 15-20 minutes. -You will have to clear through the Singapore and Malaysia Customs and immigration. -You will cross the bridge where there is a mini mall, below there's a bus interchange and ride "JPO 1". The bus travels directly to Johor Premium Outlet Stores. -The cost of the ride will be MYR4.50/ride. It takes about 45mins-1hr to reach JPO -They leave JB Sentral at 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:30pm, 4:00pm, 6:30pm and 9:00pm -From JPO, the timings of the buses will be 10am, 12:30pm, 5:30pm, 8:00pm and 10:30pm

I was browsing through GM's website, an annual international design conference event that I attended several times (GM Blog Post) and saw that Jessica's name in the speakers list! And Yes!! I already got my ticket for next month's event and I can't wait to see her! She is awesome as ever and been following her for quite some time now.

Seoul-Based Caffe Bene Now Brewing in Eastwood City
For those who have been to Seoul have most likely seen a Caffe Bene shop at every corner. It is the biggest coffee chain shop in Korea and now opened its first store in Eastwood City Walk 2, Philippines. The new cafe is a welcomed addition to the Eastwood cafe/restaurant scene – its beautiful finishings and open floor plan will be sure to draw in customers on their way for work as well as those looking to linger for an hour or two.
Caffé Bene stores has a Vintage European Interior Accentuated by Cute Korean Designs. The store is warm and cozy with bookshelves surrounding the area. You can smell the aroma of coffee and waffles fill the place. The set-up of the tables and chairs are comparatively more spacious than the typical coffee shop.

I have been working for 3 years now and I still struggle with how to spend my weekends. There for a while I had very active weekends, visiting friends and family, going out of town, biking, badminton, and eating. Since I moved in my new work a year ago, I really feel like a lazy butt. I spend most of my weekends watching TV and well, sleeping. I feel like I am just kind of coasting through life. I decided that this 2013, I should be more active, travel more, go out and eat and make the most out of my weekend. What about you? What do you do on the weekends?

Here is a little inspiration for the weekend by Yasuaki Onishi. I have No idea what it’s like to see this thing in person, but seeing the photos and videos, it's just mind-blowing. The artist uses the simplest materials that you could ever find; plastic sheeting and black hot glue, to create a monumental, mountainous form that appears to float in space. Amazing :)
