Creating a Bee-Friendly Garden A Few Simple Homemade Devices Can Go a Long Way
“Have you noticed a dearth of pollinators in your garden of late? Honeybee numbers are declining due to several factors, and it’s finally starting to make headlines. The loss of bee colonies has far-reaching consequences. About one third of our crops are pollinated by bees.”
Jesus Christ what an asshole.
If Florida is what he calls his southern WH then I wonder where he’ll actually plan to vacation and how much that will cost us.
In response to President Trump’s proposal to eliminate the Institute of Museum and Library Services in his FY2018 budget, American Library Association (ALA) President Julie B. Todaro today issued a statement.
“The President’s proposal to eliminate the Institute of Museum and Library Services in his FY2018 budget just released, and with it effectively all federal funding for libraries of all kinds, is counterproductive and short-sighted. The American Library Association will mobilize its members, congressional library champions, and the millions upon millions of people we serve in every zip code to keep those ill-advised proposed cuts from becoming a congressional reality. Libraries leverage the tiny amount of federal funds they receive through their states into an incredible range of services for virtually all Americans everywhere to produce what could well be the highest economic and social ‘ROI’ in the entire federal budget.
“America’s more than 120,000 public, school, college and university, and many other libraries aren’t piles of archived books. They’re trusted centers for technology, job counseling, retraining, veterans services, entrepreneurship, education, teaching and learning, and free inquiry at the core of communities in every state in the country—and in every congressional district. And they’re staffed by the original search engines: skilled and engaged librarians.”
The cuteness of Robbie and Laura as a couple is rivaled only by Hathaway’s delight that Lewis and Hobson are finally together.
I love the pat on the shoulder that Hathaway gives Robbie. Similar to the one at the end of the series. Just another reason to love these two.
What about james hathaway for your writing exercise???
James shivers slightly as he takes the last drag on his cigarette, knowing that if he lingers outside for a moment longer he will hear the clear, crisp peal of the bells he once said he loved.
For years they were his anchor, predictable dependable and mimicking the cathedral call he’d foresaken.
Now they are only incidental, and a moment later he forgets to listen for them as Laura and Robbie bustle him into their home, wrapping him safely into the blessed mundanity of a late Sunday afternoon.
I am convinced this is what happens now that Robbie and Laura are back from New Zealand.
This isn’t alarmist. An entire field of study was just shut down with no debate. And there’s a gag-order for staffers.
you know what drives me crazy? people that be standing up here saying “we need to give him the benefit of the doubt, we need to give him a chance and see how he leads”
I’m sorry, do you want the world to just fuckin…ignore the hate trail he ran as a campaign? we just what, pretend the last 18 months didn’t happen and his behaviours and attitudes and cabinet picks are not indicative of the man he is and the administration he’s going to run?
if someone treated you like shit every day at work, made your life hell, bullied you, objectified you, harassed you, and then got promoted and became your boss, do you just forget that happened because he might treat you better now he’s in charge?
nah fuck that, power doesn’t change a person for the better, it just makes the type of person they are more obvious, and idk how much more obvious it can be that he’s a hateful piece of shit, so fuck giving him a chance or the benefit of the doubt. fight back. resist. don’t ever accept this man as president. acknowledge it happened and fight to fix it, but don’t accept it. acceptance indicates something is okay, and this? absolutely isn’t.
endeavour should have a giant fandom instead of sherlock its pretty cinematically and in locations its filmed in, there was a tiger this one time who was the murderer. it treats women better, once the murderer was a secret tiger, the characters are more relatable, it has a massive extensive canon in morse and lewis for theories to draw on, the murderer in that one episode, was an actual tiger and its a period drama so there’s cool clothes.
YES. Yes to all this! The characters are fantastically well-developed and the emotional content and continuity behind the stories is just as fantastic.
Also:
This boy, right?
PS: Watch Endeavour series 1 if you have any love for hurt/comfort or main character whump. YOU WILL THANK US. And you’ll end up watching the rest of the series, too.
PPS: You can love both shows. <3
Also once the murderer was a secret tiger.
And Lewis even has a wonderful Bromance.

please be considerate of those who find the holiday season hard - not everybody likes the end of year holidays, not everybody has family or friends to see or that they want to see, and not everybody can afford to buy nice gifts
