We're bound to hurt, right?
The older you get, the lonelier you're ought to feel. As a child, we were all so innocent, so pure. We were the epitome of laughter, happiness, youth. Running around feeling the wind flowing within our limb, our minds were free, we were free. We were raised with the idea of fairy tales and happy ever afters. But not once will tears or sadness ever cross our minds. Of course that's how it was supposed to be, we couldn't grasp the idea of being hurt profoundly. At some point in life, we will discover every different shades that this world will offer. The world of fear, loneliness and lies. Every aspects of life that our parents have succeeded to conceal from us from the very beginning. We will discover it all. And we will start to feel lonely. We'll see the fairy tales and castles shatter down right in front of us. Because the vision that was created for us was merely an illusion, that we all failed to escape until now. And now we're left with our proper world to mold. No more fairy tales and happy ever afters, but reality.
I've always been captivated by the human mind. How it's capable of thinking and make countless life decisions. How it's able to suppress all the pain that was cause by our reckless heart. It's fascinating how the mind has the ability to light up a gloomy day yet it is very capable of murdering a person inside out. Who's the controller of this maze? Us, right? That's quite reassuring. The fact that sometimes, how we feel is just out of our control. In that very moment, who's the winner? Who's controlling? What's left is us, our heart vs our mind. Who knows how it will turn out. And that's how it's going to be throughout our lives. An endless battle.
Consolation.
"And I fell for you...just like the blossoms on the cherry tree."
Imagine a library filled with every book in the world, none of them have titles on the cover and the pages are blank, but when you open one you are instantly transported to the world within the book. You get to live the story as any character for as long as you like. And when you come out of the story, almost no time has past in the real world.
Maybe your first love is the one that sticks with you because it’s the only person who will ever receive all of you. After that, you learn better. But, most of all, no matter what, a piece of you forever remains left behind in the heart of the one you loved - a piece no future lover could ever get, no mater what. That piece holds innocence - the belief that love really can last forever. It holds friendship and pain, trial and error, that one kiss you’ll never forget and that night under the stars you can never get back. It holds youth and everything you thought love would be. Everything that was proven wrong.
