Hey, y'all! Captain Zenith here. Adie's ferrying Enki back to his sloop currently, so I thought I'd give you all a little run-down of our feelings concerning the two amazing weekends we just had.
AniMinneapolis was our first public appearance with Enki, our mercenary; Nautica, my cabin-boy, and what the little anime kids call our mayonnaise or our moray or somethin', my high-tech pleasure bot with a noggin' full of quirks, Skyelark. She certainly was the favorite, which makes me consider her a worthwhile investment (even though she still thinks she's a damned tour guide half the time, and her Nightingale patch just sorta...goes on and off. Not good for sales.) We had two room parties that were varying degrees of appropriate, our panels were packed, we acquired quite a few new friends and a whole other crew over that way as well, and we're looking forward to working with 'em! Skyelark keeps petting the list and singing to it, so as soon as I'm able to snatch it we'll be messaging you lovely folks.
Anime Midwest found us stunned - it was so many more people than were expected that I was laid low on Saturday from an overload of attractive new...prospects! It made me doubly glad I brought R. D. Barrduhn, our trading emissary of sorts, James Farley, or friendly inebriated ex-military bodyguard (though it's more likely he was protecting people from me...) and Bastien McGrobber, the representative from Albright Technologies who's *supposedly* fixing the damnable doll. I think he's here for the company, personally. Our panels went swimmingly. Captain Adie was gloriously bossy as usual, but at least nobody got clocked - out of anger, anyway. Victorian Nightlife was a special case. We got all of Steampunk 101 to follow Skyelark as she delivered a picture to her beau, the Spine, of Steam Powered Giraffe. Their concert was amazing! I've got a few things I'd like to show that Steve gentleman.
If anyone would like to send us their steampunk characters or just send us a friendly hello, feel free! I can put any and all of you to work, red light or no. We hope you had an amazing time and we're looking forward to seeing you darling hearts at MetaCon!
