Grace: *Retroactively freaking out about Doing A Misogyny™*
Rocky: Me and the bestie!!! :)
nasa employee: this guy hasn't interacted with humans in like 20/60 years should he really be giving interviews?
nasa employee 2: ehh just give him some media training and it should be fine
this is more of a silly one bc i just wanted to draw grace in a suit ^^
rocky learn about human tattoos on portable earth thinking machine
Grace goes swimming! Rocky is not thrilled.
Eridians cant "hold their breath" like humans do, their vents dont close completly so water can still get in, if they fall in water they drown and die. safe to say rocky is not a fan of when grace does it for fun xD
(i got the inspo for this from this fic: Enrichment by alatarmaia4, please check it out it is so funny)

the fact that Kaz takes Jesper's time blindness into account when plotting will always make me so emotional
Jesper is the kid that gets alot of A's in his grades but became a burnout and gets the biggest academic downfall (canon)
I love Jesper Fahey when it comes to ADHD representation because despite the fact he struggles with things like impulsivity, restlessness, and slight disorganization he is also shown to be—undoubtedly—clever, talented, and witty. It’s also clear that he can focus and take in detail, but that it often comes out in noticing others (ie Inej and Wylan). His use of his grisha abilities is also really fascinating through the lense of ADHD: it’s not something he practices at or even consciously uses, and yet he still mostly succeeds in it when it comes to his shooting abilities. It’s not perfect and this way of using them probably isn’t sustainable in the long run—but there’s no doubt it’s been useful. To me this feels a lot like how many people with ADHD (myself included) have had periods of time where we’re able to get away with not studying for tests because we’ll still do well. And it works—for a while. Until you come to something more challenging. Everything about the way his disability is written feels realistic and balanced. He’s not a stereotype but he also isn’t a character who just has the label of neurodivergent slapped on as a quirky trait without ever exploring it. The way Bardugo him is genuinely special to me for all of this.
Rip Jesper Fahey you would have loved those split screen videos with subway surfers at the bottom, someone cutting up kinetic sand at the top and someone explaining a math concept at 2x speed in the middle
the fact that Jesper is written to have aspects of adhd beyond the "haha he can't focus" part a lot of people tend to reduce it to is genuinely so important to me. AND that those things actually affect him and his self esteem realistically. he's not reduced to dumb comic relief that has adhd because it's quirky and gets diversity points, he's an actual character, and his adhd is an actual part of him, not a label they slapped on to make him more relatable.
he has time blindness, he's impulsive, he stims/fidgets (and i mean actually fidgets), he's forgetful, he has rsd, he has emotional dysregulation, and he has an addiction (people with untreated adhd are more likely to develop addictions because of under stimulation and seeking dopamine). he is a vibrant, real character, with real struggles that i relate to so deeply. he will always be so very special to me.
can we talk about the fact that Jesper Fahey was about to be captured by the Kherguud, knowing that they’d take him to Shu Han and force him to take parem and use him as a slave until he inevitably died and his first thought was “At least I’ll never be able to disappoint anyone ever again.”

Shane and Ilya would both get book deals, I think. But Shane's would be part practical hockey guidebook, part motivational self-help book. He and Yuna write it together. He just wants there to be a book that new professional hockey players can read that will give them an idea of what to expect. Especially players moving to North America from overseas who are having to enter a whole new world not just in their career, but their whole life. And even though it's aimed at pro hockey players, it has wider appeal from hockey fans who like to dream about what it might have been like to be a pro player. It's also just super fucking funny. Like genuinely worth the read just for the humour and wit alone.
Ilya's is a memoir called something like "This Boy Pucks" or "Big Stick Energy". It turns out to be surprisingly poignant and emotional because he's super honest about what happened to his mom, growing up in an abusive home, his own struggles with his mental health, and what it's been like being one of the first two MLH players to ever marry each other. It's funny of course, but also gut-wrenchingly beautiful.
And, of course, they each dedicate the book to the other. Because the story wouldn't be the same without him.
shane: hey baby, i just got back from the doctor and it’s bad
ilya: oh god, what is it?
shane: she said it’s important, vitally in fact, that you walk around the house without a shirt
ilya: oh wow well if it’s doctors orders
shane: exactly - and it’s all the time btw, so you should take that thing off right now
ilya: of course, taking it off now - and what did she say about the headache?
shane: oh just to drink more water and get some rest - apparently i’ve been overworking myself, strange huh
