While walking, Sorey couldn’t help but to look at Mikleo’s tiara. His friend. Gone. Forever. It was totally impossible and, yet… Once again, tears fell on his cheeks. How would he announce it to Gramps? And, more important than that, how would he live without his best friend? It was impossible. Mikleo was his light, he would fall in the shadow if he wasn’t by his side…
Closing his eyes, Sorey tried to calm down. It was difficult, but it was also for Zaveid. So, he stopped to walk and looked behind him. He smiled softly to Zaveid and stated:
“Thank you for everything, Zaveid. And… Sorry.”
“I’m the one who’s sorry.”
It broke his heart, to see the Shepherd in such a state. After all, he knew what it was, to lose his dearest friends. To see your own world crumble and disappear. He sighed, placed a hand on the brunette’s shoulder.
“Hey. Um... I know it’s hard.”
Shit, he was supposed to say that, right ? Urgh, he hated showing any weakness. Worst, he hated what he was going to say, though he was being sincere.
“If you need to talk, I... I’ll be there.”
He turned around, rubbing his neck, feeling awkward.
“I’m not the most expressive guy on earth, but I can listen to someone who’s lived hard things.”

Sorey stared at the tiara for a long moment at Mikleo’s tiara. With the memories, it was the only thing that Mikleo left. Yet again, he wasn’t an idiot. Memories would fade with the time passing, and Mikleo’s voice and face would disappear one day… In the end, the tiara would be the only memory left, the memory of their friendship and promise.

The Shepherd didn’t want to cry but he couldn’t help but to let his tears falling on his cheeks, wetting the face he had always tried to keep smiling. Not wanting to be seen, he started to walk away Zaveid.
He wanted to be alone. He wanted to disappear.
The wind seraph made a weird face, not knowing what he should do. Of course, he wasn’t feeling any good to have lost a comrade, once again, but he also wasn’t the kind of people who knew how to comfort others. He tried saying something, yet the only thing that came to his mind was “sorry”. Sorry they hadn’t been able to save the water seraph, sorry not to know what to do now.
He watched the Shepherd walk away, shaking his head. How had things turned out that way...
