This is still Maka here, the blog was called art-noodles before. I changed my @! :D I kind of wanted to change my name in general, so if you’re new here: just call me Michi!

So, here’s also a reminder that I have an art-only account: @makaalpaca  I kind of try to treat it like a portfolio or art backup. I’ll still be reblogging all the finished stuff here so if you’re ok with my doodles and memes you can just keep following me here and ignore that other blog.

I don’t really do fanart much, I mostly draw OCs. If you’re curious about anyone, asks are more than welcome!!!

I’m gonna be honest, this blog’s following feels almost completely dead so I don’t think there’s any point in posting art here.

As for my art-only blog, I will try to post newer art there.

This blog I’ll use mostly for reblogging and attempts at interacting with others. I’ve honestly been extremely depressed and I haven’t logged into the other account since my dad passed away, which just made it harder to even try… I also have trouble just talking with people in general because of everything that happened. You guys might be curious but i’d rather keep the details to myself, other than the thing about my dad. Needless to say, being an orphan is hard. :’)

Maybe one day I’ll remake this account properly, but for now I’ve just given up on tumblr.

I dunno when I’ll hit another low with my depression, but for now I’m feeling okay, so I’m taking the chance to be active somewhere. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me over the years. 💕

When I was training to be a battered women’s advocate, my supervisor said something that really blew my mind:

“You can always assume one thing about your clients; and that is that they are doing their best. Always assume everyone is doing their best. And if they’re having a day where their best just isn’t that great, or their best doesn’t look like your best, you have to be okay with that.”

Any now whenever anyone in my life, either a friend or a client, frustrates me, disappoints me, or pisses me off, I just tell myself They are doing their best. Their best isn’t that great today, but I have days where my best isn’t that great either.

Like I don't think you guys comprehend what happened in Poland just now but everyone needs to be talking about it.

A random influencer decided he'll listen to an anti cancer song on loop. People liked it enough times he ended up listening for 9 days.

He raised 90 million in these 9 days, and then 160 million more over the last 10 hours, for a total of 250 million.

Hundreds and thousands of people signed up to donate marrow.

Hundreds of celebrities shaved their heads in solidarity.

The Foundation receiving this money had to create a special commission to figure out how to distribute the money.

The national TV stations got highjacked to stream this for hours because it was better news than anything happening in the world.

Because we broke and DOUBLED the world record for this kind of thing.

They raised about as much as the biggest running charity event in Poland did in a whole year with three decades of tradition and a goddamn army of people.

And they did it on a goddamn amateur set up in a shabby room sitting on folding chairs.

Little update: people keep donating despite the stream being over. We're at 280 million in the fight against cancer.

Łatwogang refuses to collab with companies that only reached out to him now because of popularity or give interviews. He said any medals people wanna give them should go to the doctors and nurses and the cancer patients.

Someone offered to renovate that shabby little flat for him as a thank you. He refused.

Someone counted up how many people appeared in that room during the whole thing - it was 319 total.

huge fan of the depth of a good purple but another area that draws me is definitely around aquamarine/turquoise/seafoam. you can not go wrong once the green starts getting just a tinge more blue. a gal could certainly do worse than to pull over there and stay a while
