Hey iâm a fashion design student so i have tons and tons of pdfs and docs with basic sewing techniques, pattern how-tos, and resources for fabric and trims. Iâve compiled it all into a shareable folder for anyone who wants to look into sewing and making their own clothing. Iâll be adding to this folder whenever i come across new resources

Updated just now with new hand sewing resources (mainly buttonholes) and textbook pdfs on fashion history, fashion illustration, and thinking through designs!
OP I owe you my life
OP you are the greatest person currently in my life. You beautiful, thoughtful creature.
Need to investigate the flooding situation on my dash lately

World Heritage Post
It sometimes does make sense on paper to reframe stuff like that because for some people, that's the sort of thing they'd rather support, and end up supporting trans people by virtue of supporting said reframing, however it is generally the case that this is usually an empathy issue and short of it affecting themselves or someone close to them, it simply won't work to the desired effect, if at all. Basically a pointless concession
Me when I can only smell some evil
It is the job of the police to oppress the working class on behalf of the bosses. Do not believe the sanitized rhetoric of the powers that beâall positive social change was fought for, tooth and nail. They will never make concessions without mass action.
Take care of each other out there. Never act alone. Donât talk to cops.
I reblogged this yesterday, but I want to reblog it again. Diabetic ketoacidosis turns your blood acidic and will essentially burn you from the inside out.
The stories you hear of people dying from rationing, this is what happens to their body.
Affordable insulin isnât just a right, itâs a necessity.
No one should have to die like that when itâs preventable with access to proper medication.
"Affordable" should be the lowest fucking bar. Pharmaceutical companies should be tripping over themselves to offer insulin at "affordable". That shit deserves to be fucking free

I do love the phrase executive dysfunction bc the image it conjures is of a bunch of people wearing business suits around a long oval conference table arguing with each other to the point where theyâre getting into physical fights, but in the background thereâs just a big empty whiteboard with a To Do list with one item on it and that item is âtake showerâ
Shower time!
âGet a rat and put it in a cage and give it two water bottles. One is just water, and one is water laced with either heroin or cocaine. If you do that, the rat will almost always prefer the drugged water and almost always kill itself very quickly, right, within a couple of weeks. So there you go. Itâs our theory of addiction. Bruce comes along in the â70s and said, âWell, hang on a minute. Weâre putting the rat in an empty cage. Itâs got nothing to do. Letâs try this a little bit differently.â So Bruce built Rat Park, and Rat Park is like heaven for rats. Everything your rat about town could want, itâs got in Rat Park. Itâs got lovely food. Itâs got sex. Itâs got loads of other rats to be friends with. Itâs got loads of colored balls. Everything your rat could want. And theyâve got both the water bottles. Theyâve got the drugged water and the normal water. But hereâs the fascinating thing. In Rat Park, they donât like the drugged water. They hardly use any of it. None of them ever overdose. None of them ever use in a way that looks like compulsion or addiction. Thereâs a really interesting human example Iâll tell you about in a minute, but what Bruce says is that shows that both the right-wing and left-wing theories of addiction are wrong. So the right-wing theory is itâs a moral failing, youâre a hedonist, you party too hard. The left-wing theory is it takes you over, your brain is hijacked. Bruce says itâs not your morality, itâs not your brain; itâs your cage. Addiction is largely an adaptation to your environment. [âŠ] Weâve created a society where significant numbers of our fellow citizens cannot bear to be present in their lives without being drugged, right? Weâve created a hyperconsumerist, hyperindividualist, isolated world that is, for a lot of people, much more like that first cage than it is like the bonded, connected cages that we need. The opposite of addiction is not sobriety. The opposite of addiction is connection. And our whole society, the engine of our society, is geared towards making us connect with things. If you are not a good consumer capitalist citizen, if youâre spending your time bonding with the people around you and not buying stuffâin fact, we are trained from a very young age to focus our hopes and our dreams and our ambitions on things we can buy and consume. And drug addiction is really a subset of that.â
