RE: Kyoko and fandom, I honestly feel like fandom only considers her from her later incarnations in the manga OR solely from the anime, when she's quite a fun character during the Daily Life segments. There, she was allowed to have a temper, and love running around wildly in a zoo. However, once the series got shonen serious, any trait beyond "shonen love interest" were washed over. I don't think fandom really thinks about that sometimes, they just see the end result.
