He noticed a small change in the pink haired girl's behavior. She looked really... happy to talk about that person, and it seemed like his guess was right. She was indeed looking for a gift for someone special. He wondered if he should ask something more, but he thought it'd be rude so he decided against it.
「He must be really special to you.」He commented with a small smile, asking himself if it was really ok for him to accompany her to choose such a present. It was something you'd normally do alone, but he still wished her company. He was feeling somewhat lonely, he admitted, ever since his friends started to abandon the team and... himself, it had been hard for him to even ask one of them to hang out with him. Even Midorima, who used to be the closest of his friends, had begun to walk his own path, leaving the red head by himself. So that's why he decided he wanted to hang out with her, or with anyone at all.
You sound silly. He told himself in his mind, scolding himself for letting his mind turn to that. He knew it was stupid, mindless for him to act like that, but he couldn't help it. It wasn't like he wanted to feel like that either. He disliked suffering and hurting, but still he let those feelings get to him. It was pathetic, really.
He wasn't surprised with the girl's indecision. After all, she was looking for a present for her boyfriend, it wasn't something you'd buy with someone else, specially a stranger of the opposite sex. He was very astonished, however, with her question.
「Of course, I'll go with you.」He answered courteously, a small smile stretching his lips slightly.
He started to walk in the direction of the shops, glancing behind to look for the pink haired girl. Would she follow him or would give up on going? He wouldn't question her decision whatever it was, but he was quite curious.
「Ah, Gasai-san. Please do be careful. It's pretty easy to get lost here, specially when it's crowded.」
