Ford is the only human Bill asks to join his side

We know from the book that Bill has tried to collaborate with humans over millions of years. He has no genuine interest beyond using them. He discards them when they’re disappointing and never thinks about them again. They meant nothing to him.

In weirdmaggedon Bill gives Ford another chance to join him after everything that’s happened. He asks multiple times. Bill has never done that before. Ford is the only human Bill ever shows actual interest in. With every other human Bill just wanted a portal built, that’s it. He wants Ford to join his side forever.

Ford is the only human in history that Bill has felt sad about losing and even cried over. Bill wanted him bad.

Another little detail about weirdmaggedon is that Bill turned every other human to stone all meshed together. He turned Ford to gold and kept him sitting on top the throne with him.
