WHAT LOVE MEANS TO ME

If someone were to ever ask me what love meant to me, at any point in my life, I think this interaction succinctly sums it up.

The way he says it, you know he's giving it up, because in the end we all are destined to lose something that felt like salvation.

When she looks at him, you know that's exactly what she felt, for one long moment they knew they shared the same salvation; it felt like hope for better things. For better themselves. For forgetting the pain of the past and forgiving yourself. For knowing each day, somebody loves you even when you wake up seeing the cracks in yourself. For being able to give love, if that's all you could give. That's why when you find someone you love, it feels like hope.
