The MFEs are attacked during a rountine mission by Empire stragglers using questionable machinery that Haggar cooked up.

They wake up in their younger bodies on board the Castle of Lions right after the Olkarion mission.

(James & Keith can finally talk about everything that happened before their trip into space.)

Ina is quickly submerged into Hunk & Pidge’s techno babble. Green adores her (and if she’s encouraging her paladin to make a move, well its only logical)

Nadia and Lance get along so well that it’s scary. But she also spends a lot of time telling and teaching Allura about Earth culture.

Corran’s number system is all out of whack but he likes teaching about Altean culture.

Allura & Corran are quite happy to know that they are still Alteans out there somewhere. James emphasizes that Keith is the one to find them.

(Keith tells him about how Allura treated him when she found out that he was a hybrid. He was scared that James would do the same)

(Oh they also can’t go home. The whole timeline has been rewritten. (None of them mention Keith’s hybrid status (James confirms it to him in private)

Red likes James. Think he’s a little uptight at first until that all just goes out the window when he’s around Keith. Red approves. (Black does too when he finds out that Keith was his paladin after Shiro went missing) (James tells Shiro and Black in the Lion’s Den that he died and his soul was being held in the astro plane. He doesn’t know all the details. Only what Future Keith told him)

When the Paladins act weird around Keith after the Galra reveal, the MFEs surround and protect him. (Shiro is glad his brother has got such good friends)

Thace is saved. (James refuses to let Keith’s uncle die (I refuse to believe that Keith and Thace werent relates))

these two dorks fall in love while their parents, siblings, aunts & uncles, cousins, grandparents etc watch them stumble around each other.

• james believes teaching someone how to fight is an excellent courting idea (keith picks up sword work easily)

•he has to get permission to court keith from not only Aphrodite, but also Kroila who nursed him. keith’s siblings including Takashi Shirogane. his ever faithful wolf companion Kosmo. his guards (the BoM) and his friends/cousins (Lance,Hulk,Pidge, & Allura)

•simultaneously, keith has to get permission to court james back. from Ares, his siblings including Adam Wallace, his friends/cousins (Ina, Ryan, Nadia, & Veronica), and his mentor/teacher Iverson

•cue the most funniest and most ridiculous tasks for each boy to go on to win the right to court the other while everyone else is too busy laughing and waiting to for them to realize that they could’ve gotten married thirty challenges ago.

let’s pretend james and keith talked it out in s7 and are chill now

but once they both realize they like the same person its tense all over again even tho they deny it

james staring at keith across the room talking to you and you’re both smiling and laughing: clenches his fists and crumples whatever’s in his hands unconsciously

like its dinner time and everyones trying to fight for a certain seat bc they want their team leader to be the one sitting next to you

shiro has to pair everyone up on missions bc its gotten so chaotic 

you know what is going on bc although james n keith try to keep it down low they’re terrible at it

and i mean w everyone taking sides you can’t help but hear everyone talking about it

offering rides to you in the black lion and mfe fighter 

when they’re getting attacked or doing training together (mfes and voltron) james n keith both do fancy flying tricks and show off 

omg and krolia tries to help her son but also doesn’t understand romance (thats where he gets it from)

james 10/10 is a big nerd that practices what to say before he says it to you and desperately tries to remember what hes supposed to say

runs his hands through his hair when he’s nervous 

keith is the one who takes what somebody else told him to say but fumbles and messes it up

blushy boy and rubs the back of his neck when he gets flustered
